Leg hair lost and rash spot on skin
I brought this a week ago and wore them 3 time so far. It was warm, heavy and little hard to walk but still great boot. I’m giving it 1 star Because the boot cause the itchy feeling I thought it was my joggers pant at first but realize it after taking a shower saw the bald spot and redness rash looking skin on my lower leg where the boot top end.

FAVORITE SKI BOOT! Perfect for our family Christmas trip to the mountains in Denver Colorado.
Poor Quality
My daughters and I bought these boots for my husband for Christmas in 2020. We live in Colorado so he only wears them in winter. The rubber on the uppers has split completely through on both boots along the big toe side. One of the leather straps that held D-ring for laces has also torn off. His pair of Polar Sorels that he owned prior to these lasted over 20 years. Too bad quality is not at all the same.
Oh no! We'd love to hear more about your thoughts on our shoes. Please contact our support team so we can get to the bottom of what wasn't so great about your experience.
Soles failed
Soles delaminated after 30 times worn. Unacceptable for this price point.
not a good boot
I bought these boots 2008/11. It was my first cold weather boot that I ever bought. It's first year that I spend lots of time outdoors in cold weather. I kind of like the way they look and the way they feel, but they are huge. I wear size 13 and I have no problems putting two very thick socks. Even in +30F weather my feet aren't that warm. They aren't cold, but you can feel the coolness seeping in from the soles. Another moment if you step into the water above the rubber part of the boot water will get in through the seams or stitches - the liner will get damp. I'm looking into some seam waterproofing solution. In conclusion this boot is not worth the price.
update
update. After complaining to Sorel about boots being not waterproof they suggested they inspect them. So I did after getting Return number and paying about $35 for shipping to their warehouse in France. After about a week I got email saying that they inspected the boots and they are faulty and they will send me a new pair. So in a week or so boots arrived. Even though it was summer I decided to check the new pair for waterproofness instead of shelving until next winter. I simply immersed them in a few inches of water. To my horror one boot filled with water right away. And I mean fast. It was full of water in matter of minutes. See attached photo of the boot leaking water when taken out of the water. So in conclusion I might be very unlucky person, but its kind of unlikely since I've got a chance to test two pairs one destined for US market and another for EU market.
Five years and counting! Very happy!
I was looking through my purchase history and realized that I’ve had these boots for FIVE YEARS! They’re very comfortable. Very warm and look nice. I only wear them in actual snow. I’ve walked in snowstorms and snow showers. I’ve shoveled snow with them on. They look brand new still! I believe the key is I wipe them off and let the liners dry outside of the boots before I put the away. No cracks and the sole looks good. I can’t drive with them and they are heavy. But if I’m going to play in snow or hang out at a frigid event I would definitely recommend wearing them. I was worried that they might not last more than a year but I’m proof that they can definitely last!
Good Boots
Used them on a snow camping trip last year in Michigan's U.P. over presidents day weekend. The temperature got down to about -10 F and these kept my feet warm sitting around at night without extra layers of socks (just liner socks and winter weight wool ones). The were a little too warm for snowshoeing when the temp was in the 20's. Wouldn't reccomend them for modern style snowshoes if your feet are over size 12, mine are size 14 and struggled to fit in binding of my denali classic snowshoes. All but 2 in my group of about 15 have these boots and love them. Also great for winter yard work and slush, seem to be totally waterproof.
POOR MATERIALS!!
Sorel used to make quality boots. Not anymore, and no longer warranty them past a year. I purchased a pair of Sorel Caribou 6 or so years ago, and even with limited use (as you can see from the soles) the rubber bottoms have cracked on both boots. I have a pair of LL Bean duck boots that are 3x the age and have had no issues with the rubber deteriorating
Poor Quality and it shows!
I could not believe that the upper rubber section cracked and split after light usage over one season! My old pair (made in Canada) lasted 20+ years, this new pair was thinner and not even up to the task of walking my dog on groomed snow trails. NOT RECCOMENDED if you are looking for a good quality snow boot. Sorel told me the 1 year warranty was up - good luck!
