Perfect for its intended use
To the previous reviewers who complained that this wrench bends easily under high torque applications, all I can say is, "Of course it does," because that's not what this wrench is intended for. If you want to install pedals, then get a pedal wrench. This particular tool is a cone wrench for tightening and loosening the cones on your axles which is not a high torque job. The reason it's is so thin is because it needs to be in order to reach the cones. Having said that, this is an excellent tool made with the usual Park quality that we all love, and having two sizes on the same wrench is a nice space-saver in your tool box.
Works Great
These are meant to be used for maintenance on hubs with ball bearings, NOT PEDALS as a previous reviewer did. They work great for their intended purpose.
TSA passable
TSA will take anything bigger than this in your carry on luggage. If you're traveling and you need a pedal wrench this is what you need.
Good for tight spaces
Had recently purchased a Brompton, and one of the first things to be done was to add clipless pedals that still were compact. MKS makes a Cube EZY that are removable without tools. The one drawback, though, is that the mounting gear has a limited grip area. Although I initially got the Park PW-3 (a good tool for most pedals), it was a tad too wide. This cone wrench did good work, double duty, for installing the pedals. I'd highly recommend this for tight spaces.
If you work on bikes you need this wrench
Park tools knows how to make quality cone wrenches .
poor construction
Managed to change one bike pedal with this. Bent it on half on the second one.
Bends under pressure.
The tool can not handle much torque before it bends and becomes unusable. Spend the money and get a stronger tool.
Works perfectly
As a cone wrench, this works perfectly. Measure your hub nut before purchasing, as they vary in size.
Just right tool
This is the perfect flat wrench for a simple job I can do myself.
