Poor design for casual walking shoes

Good for walking but poor design. Decorative appliqué on sides pinches shell fabric right at the toe box flex point, breaking down the fabric causing early failure. Standard insoles should be tossed and replaced for decent support. Only used them for walking, not enough support for serious hiking.

Solid hiking boots

I took a chance on these as an outlet purchase, zero reviews at the time. With a five mile break-in I took them on the Incan Trail and had no issues until the final night when I resorted to a little moleskin. All in all, I think they held up extraordinarily for the price point. Had some rain in the Andes and was humping through some wet stretches. Feet stayed dry and no issues with sweating.
