Swing and a miss!
Let me start but saying I love their apparel. However, they completely missed the mark with these shorts. For starters I ordered one 5.5” inseam and two 7” inseams. You cannot tell the difference whatsoever. Secondly the elastic waist band is huge and if you have any form of belly it folds in half. The drawstring runs right through the middle of it. It also acts like a large sweatband if you’re into that sort of thing. Again, love their apparel this one I will not be repurchasing! True to size is accurate for the waist, not the length!
Not a fan of wide waistband
Ordered these because I liked the length better than the 7" Lined breeze short of which I own 3 pairs. The wider waistband on the 5.5" Does not stretch as much so the shorts were a little more difficult to put on and then the wider waistband just rolls up which is not that comfortable. That being said the shorts otherwise fit great and I decided to keep both pairs anyway but I wish FF would go back to narrow waistband with a bit more elasticity.
Great new short from Free Fly!
The new active breeze shorts are great! The zip pocket is a little small for a wallet or phone, but it’s definitely an upgrade from the prior version of lined Breeze shorts! The waste-band is great for working out and keeping the shorts from sagging. Be cautioned that these shorts fit a bit smaller than the regular lined breeze shorts
5.5” active lined active breeze shorts
These things fit extremely big! Although the inseam is 5.5” the outseam makes these fit like a short with a 9” inseam. The crotch of the short is comically long as well. These need some serious quality control.
Super comfy, holds everything in place
The shorts fit great, are super comfortable and the line helps keep all of you in place. Only downside is they are a little warm due to the liner during the hottest days of summer (100-105f here).
Free Fly Lined Shorts
Have used as pickleball shorts and have been very happy with them. Shorts are comfortable and the pockets quite handy. Recommend.
Almost perfect
Great design and material, but it does shrink up after the first wash. I’m always a medium but I should have bought large.

Immediately burn all other shorts and order these today. Liner is amazeballs and is perfect if you’re active.
