New life for an old friend.
I have a zippo from when I was a Marine in 1972. I love that old friend but don't smoke - just need a fire source when I head into the back country. I've only had it one day but so far it works fine - and saved me from having to refill it every time I use it. I'll update this when I have more experience with it.
It works
Had to mess with the flame adjustment more than i felt necessary to get this to work.
Worse lighter ever
This is a terrible lighter. Doesn't work at all with any moisture, refilling is hit or miss, and in general it's extremely unreliable. $1 convenience store lighter is more reliable. Ultimately threw it a way and chalked it up to lesson learned. If you must have a zippo, get a normal one with a flint roller, not this "torch".
Good enough
Works as expected. Reservoir is a bit small, and usually takes two clicks to ignite. Could be better but it's fine. Gave new life to an old wick zippo so I'm happy
Don’t buy unless you can/want to tinker to fix it
Doesn’t work properly out of the box because the adjustment screw is set too low. This is so common there are videos on how to fix it. Don’t buy unless you can/want to tinker to fix it.

Now the ease of a butane lighter in the summer and the reliability of lighter fluid in the winter from the same lighter!
Insert
Did not realize it was an insert. I had a liquid one so I switched the case and it worked great. The butane version more practical.

Really nice grate for when I need to light a gas trail or a big gas burner with out getting burned
