Very warm & comfy. I read that it ran a little small, so I ordered a large, but I think they’re true to size. I wish I would’ve ordered a medium, but I still like it. I ordered the orange, which I love, but the dark feathers show through & make the coat look worn & dirty. Very disappointed in the look.
The Cerium Hoody has become a staple in my wardrobe—I own it in multiple colors (and sizes, read on for my take on the fit)! It has kept me warm both on glaciers and around town. Normally, I wear an XS, but I recently decided to size up to an S for extra mobility around the hips for more active endeavors, and it was the right call. Pear-shaped folks, I recommend you size up. Fit around the chest and sleeves was fine. Whether you’re layering it for warmth in extreme conditions or just enjoying its lightweight comfort in everyday settings, this hoody delivers.
I love my Cerium Hoodie. Very compact, it’s always on my backpack for any trip as a safe net if I need extra warmth. The fabric is extremely thin and I was initially concerned to have it tearing or damaged but so far so good. Surprisingly resistant as I always challenge my gear quite a lot. Have some feathers coming out I’m a bit worried about (don’t have this with my cerium vest tho). Otherwise super warm both in summer Alpine setting and winter wild camping. Size great (Medium for 5”2 with a muscular frame). Would definitely replace it one day in another colour more flashy or if Burgundy or Dark Brown is ever back!
Fun fact: the jacket can be packed into the small cinch back that is stored in the chest pocket. I also love that the hoody is nice and roomy which allows me to easily pull it over a beanie without it feeling tight. It's super warm and fashionable which makes it versatile for any occasion.
"It looks nice and feels soft and comfortable. My only concern is that the down material is somewhat visible, which makes the jacket look dirty. This is especially noticeable on the white one.
The coat itself feels great, however the zipper feels cheaply made. I’ve own a few Arc’teryx coats/jackets, somehow the zipper on this is a different quality. Doesn’t feel like it was last.
Hello there, thank you for your feedback! We're glad you love the feel of the Cerium Hoody, but we’re sorry to hear about your concerns with the zipper. The zipper is designed to offer a seamless look and keep the jacket as light as possible, in line with its minimalist design. If you experience any issues with the zipper, please don’t hesitate to reach out, our After-Sale team is here to help!
Mostly there. Purchased for wife. Got a small which felt originally roomy (5’6”, 115 lbs) but appreciate it for layering. Was great to bring to a hiking trip through Norway and Scotland in Sept: low weight for the plans but plenty of warmth in the shoulder season. DWR kept up in the light rain. Only docked a point due to my wife complaining about the zippers. The zippers felt like an afterthought - a bit flimsy - on an otherwise premium jacket
Love the jacket and color - but 2 days wearing it has resulted in a very poor main zip. I have sent product form to Arc'trex over a week ago and am still waiting for reply. Ideally the overall jacket needs a STRONGER zip put in for ALL Cerium Hoodies. The jacket though is lovely, very nice, cozy and warm. Not too puffy either which is nice. I just really wish the zip did not have a problem. It won't go up nor down and is stuck, this is only 2 days after receicing the jacket and wearing it for only 2 days. Working with Arc'trex hopefully for compensation and possible refund/exchange. The inside zip seems stronger than the main zip. Now without a jacket when it is soo cold out....
I own two of these in different colors and from different years. One is black and one is the bicolor tan one which may have been Smoke Bluff (shown in photo). I wear these jackets constantly in the winter months. They are so cozy and warm, easy to layer under and over with other Arc'teryx gear. I think the fit is flattering and love that it comes in XS sizing for petite people like me. When I am backpacking I usually pack this for a warmth layer, but also to stuff it into my pillowcase to use as a comfy pillow inside my sleeping bag. Dual purpose! Also cute enough to wear around town in a more casual way. My only issue was that the tan color did show the feathers through the fabric in the lighter colored top part, but after I found out they do not bleach their down for sustainability purposes I quickly got over that little issue. I'd rather have a sustainable product!
I hiked the Pacific Crest Trail with my Cerium and LOVED it! It kept me warm and comfortable in below freezing conditions while other hikers struggled. Not only that, it’s light and packable!
