Small waist

WI will be returning these. The waist is too small for me, although the other Medium proportions are comparable with my older Patagonia ski pants, which do fit me at the waist. Also, the adjustable inside Velcro tabs are not as wide, and when on the longest space, bunch up at the back of the pants. Quality seems good other than those issues on these ski pants. I had ordered these online, so did not try on at a store.

Small waist/Will be returned

Unfortunately, these will be returned. Briefly, I own 3 pair of Patagonia ski pants (all shells, Gore-Tex, no insulation, all Med.) and they are different purchases over a few years. I live in one pair 2x a week in the winter for my ski teaching. I wanted a different pair and color for my off and free ski days. Although these are not Gore-Tex, iI was willing to try them as all my other various Patagonia products are excellent. The problem with these pants are they are too tight at my waist, even with the hook and loop at the lowest position. And at that position, the extra material bunches up in the back. I can feel that extra fabric at my spine; it does not lie flat. I would say this sizing is made for a smaller and slimmer waist. And the “hook” is thinner than the “loop”, so it is a less secure system. No larges are available now in this model or color. Usually larges are too large for me also. The product appears to be well made.
