I bought 2 different colors of these bottles, because of the size and the material, Nalgene. The size is great, the wide mouth is slightly difficult to drink out of as you have to hold the lid out of the way of your face, so not really a one-handled bottle...unless the connecting strap loses its springiness. The Nalgene is good, since there is no taste imparted to the water. Next time I would look for a much smaller lid, or a drinking spout or a way to keep the lid out of my face! Otherwise, it's a good water bottle.
I've used nalgenes for years, and got a couple of these as I wanted something to fit in my cars cupholders. Perfect fit and never leaks. 16 ounces is enough for (very) short day hikes, walks around the neighborhood, and those short car trips. Get the 32 ounce nalgene for longer day hikes and backpacking trips.
Forgot how useful a small light water bottle is for every day life. I have the bigger metal monster water bottles but they can be heavy and unwieldy sometimes. With more places to refill my bottles, a smaller and lighter model like this is easy for an every day carry. I don’t need ice water all the time.
