Super high quality materials and construction. The majority of the mit is a really nice quality leather with great feel. Elastic cuff is fairly snug pulling them on but gives nice closure and feel once on.
The mitten part is fine, but the wrist is horrible. A mitten should be fairly easy to put on and take off, so you don't have to leave a hand exposed too long. The problem is the wrist is extremely too small. It literally took me about a minute to put the second mitten on. Bit by bit, pulling and easing and yanking. I have since been working on stretching the wrist, again literally, with all my strength pulling the opening wider, hoping against hope to hear some threads pop. I've almost got them where I would consider bringing them on the trail again... almost. I think I'll get there, I just hope I don't injure myself stretching out the opening. I got the XL size. The hand part was a good fit, but the wrist was nearly impossible, as is.
These are fantastic! I'm normally a gloves guy but I bought these for very cold conditions and they did not disappoint. The fit is excellent. They kept my hands warm for two hours on a snowmobile at -18C (without grip heaters). I like the snug cuffs, they fit under my coat sleeve and keep the snow out. Time will tell but they seem durable and well constructed.
I agree with the other person, that they are very hard to put on. I cant put them on without grabbing the strap with my teeth. Now i do like having a tight fit around the wrists to keep out snow so its a trade off Also they run pretty small. I am 6'1 and have average sized hands for my height but the large my fingers hit the top
I've been using these gloves 2-3 times weekly for around 4 months now. They're starting to show some wear on the palms, but I believe that's on me for not treating the leather first. These gloves have keep my hands warm in temps as low as -25° with the wind chill added. Still very efficient even when my hands got sweaty in them.
I measured 8” around my hand and 7” long and picked medium because I prefer width wiggle room. They are very comfy and non restrictive. No itchy scratchy parts. The blue is more aqua than blue in the photo and I’m very happy with that.
As a ski instructor these mittens did the job perfectly. Worn in temperatures ranging from -15°F to 40°F with no issues. The leather feels premium and the overall look of the gloves is great.
