Comfy in Freezing Weather
I brought the octaclava from a busy, cold city, to the slopes of a mountain while skiing. In both instances, the octaclava held up in freezing conditions. Even when my face got wet from condensation, it kept warm, I think thanks to the waffle pattern on the inside which insulated really well. I also really liked how many ways I could wear it. I wore it with the hood and a hat and helmet, without the hood, without the mask, all without sacrificing comfort because of how far back the stitching is. Great if you have a big nose too, which I can’t say for many other balaclavas.
Perfect for cold days fat biking
Excellent under a biking helmet when temps are under 10F. The hinge point is spot on for wearing glasses and being able to release heat when needed. Very much recommend.
