Absolutely love these socks! They're the best socks for long runs and rides, even for long days in the office, but the all black are the best to stealthily wear the best socks to work! I only wish there were more colors, I have some aging navy & bright blue Aspire Fours (still in like new condition!) that could use some friends with the updated patterns, look, and style!
I use the Aspire Mid for running as well as for everyday wear with athletic shoes. Very comfortable and I never feel I need to take them off, like I was when I wore CEP socks. Extremely comfortable with just enough amount of perfectly dialed in compression.
They sucked, helped us through a 108 mile bike ride.

I've been wearing swiftwick socks since the inception of the company, my recent purchase of aspire mid crew (4 pair), was a little disappointing, I wear a size 14 shoe, so I purchased xl size socks and they are way too big, the heel pad comes up the back of my foot, I can only hope that they will shrink a little bit, I would return them but I've thrown out the packaging. Quality of socks is great, order process is easy and delivery is fast, just too big.
They definitely changed the material and these may need to be washed once or twice before using, but my first runs they caused my feet to sweat a lot vs. wicking them away like my old Swiftwick socks. If a couple of wash cycles makes them work as designed then I will change my review, but that was not necessary with the old ones.
The two pairs of Aspire mid-crew XL socks were VERY tight on my mid foot, much more so than the low cut Aspires. I would have sent them back but I had already washed them and threw the packaging away. I have loved all the other kind of Swiftwick socks I have purchased from them in the past however.
Swiftwick socks are my go-to socks for road and trail running. I love the Aspire mid-crew socks. I got a new white pair just in time for the LA Marathon, and I ran a personal best by more than 20 minutes wearing them with my favorite race-day shoes.
With summer arriving I needed a lighter sock The Aspire has fit the bill being cool but supportive. One note is that this is much thinner than most Swiftwick cycling socks so may require adjustment in your shoe so your foot doesn't slide around.
