Manufacturer recommends sizing up a half size from your normal size. For the best fit, norda recommends measuring your feet while wearing the socks you run in.
- Stand on a piece of paper lengthwise. While in a standing position, mark horizontal lines where the tip of your longest toe lands as well as where the end of your heel is.
- Measure the heel-to-toe distance to find your foot length.

They are NOT “just sneakers”…
I have cranky feet, wide toe and narrow heel, not to mention multiple foot surgeries. When I read about Norda I wondered if maybe just maybe this shoe might be my unicorn shoe. I wear a women’s 10.5/11 in a trail shoe so I ordered both the Jen’s 9 & 9.5 after finding out they last is the same for men and women’s sizes. When they arrived I found the 9.5 to be the perfect fit, but more than that they were comfortable right out of the box! I be have worn them all day everyday for a week now and I can’t stop saying how comfortable they are. I’m looking forward to taking them on a hike soon. To the person who said these are “just sneakers”…I beg to differ. There are incredibly sophisticated, well made, durable shoes. Great pains were taken to address all the nagging fit issues in most high end running/trail shoes. Are they expensive, yep they sure are but in my opinion, and the opinion of my cranky feet, they are worth every penny. Thank you Norda. Hey REI please carry the 001aG+!
Best Shoes Ever

They Live Up To The Hype
I loved the way these shoes looked when they popped up on my IG feed and then saw all of the incredibly positive reviews. Concerned about the price and the apparently inconsistent sizing, I held off until REI started offering them, knowing that shipping would be free and that an exchange would be easy if the fit was off. I followed the sizing recommendation based on actual foot length and this worked out perfectly as these are easily the most comfortable trail shoes I have ever tried. I don’t run ver much but I hike with my dogs quite often and I’m finding the Nordas to offer fantastic grip, support, and traction. Quality is top notch. Take the plunge and give them a try.
Great Ultra marathon shoe!
I'm on my 3rd pair of these shoes. I ran a 40 mile ultra marathon (The Grand Traverse mountain run) and I'll be running the Desert rats 100k in them. I have been replacing the pairs at 700 miles but they are still in good shape even with that mileage. They are durable and comfortable shoes!
Great for off road (only)
Interesting Shoe. This shoe is clearly made with quality materials and craftsmanship, it felt very nice to put on and use. The aesthetic looks a bit more stumpy in-person than online to me but pretty neat. The running experience on terrain felt great and I always felt stable and dry, even in snow. On firmer surfaces these shoes weren’t very forgiving, I wouldn’t wear these if my run includes any use on pavement / packed gravel. Good shoe, mid-value.
Great shoe but need larger sizes.
Amazing shoe! Need at 14! They run small, I usually wear a 13, but the 13 is way too snug with an Injinji liner, and a mid weight Darn Tough. Which is unfortunate because this is an awesome shoe.
PLEASE GOD DON’T EVER STOP MAKING THIS SHOE
They’re soooo comfy. Can’t wait to see how they do backpacking next summer. Only complaint (minor) is they seem to kick up a lot of water when walking on wet pavement/through puddles and the backs of my calves get soaked. But maybe this is just me.
Shoes are great, REI service is terrible
These are hands down the best trail shoes I've ever used. However, twice I've tried to order them from REI and failed. The first time they sent me the shoes in a generic brown box without the shoe bag. I returned them. The second time they sent me the wrong shoes, they sent me the 002's instead of the 001's in a broken damaged box. Just order these shoes from Norda and don't waste your time with REI.
Great shoe
Ran about 50 miles in it, it’s a great shoe. Haven’t done trail running yet but ran when it was snowy and slippery out where it held a good grip and balance. I like tight fitting shoes so if you don’t like it I would recommend sizing up by 1 or half a size. Overall great shoe.
