This shoe blew my mind. I am coming from Nike, Jordans, and Adidas. That is all I have ever worn, and needed a hiking shoe that would be comfortable. A colleague suggested Keen because of the wide toe, so grabbed these as I didn’t want a boot. I have done plenty of hikes and come away with very sore feet. Those days are gone. This shoe was amazing. Super comfortable, probably the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. No soreness after my first mountain hike in these. Can’t wait to use these many more times.
Wanted a good all around walking shoe, something simple for daily walks. A durable and comfortable shoe for an almost flat foot wide toe box. For about two months off and on the road and trail, shoe did great. But over time the right shoe seems to compress a little bit more. It could be just my imperfect body or could it be something else, hmm. Curious if this was just an odd shoe. The shoe overall was light feeling with good traction. Good heel to toe roll and felt natural for my cadence; average 10,000 steps per day. The lacing was comfortable but it could be more of a snug feeling. Maybe shift the tongue to a firm less foamy compression. I am surprised by what Keen has to offer. In the future, I will keep keen in my list as comfortable shoe.
First, I love Keen shoes - in general. I have hiked well over 1800 km in Keen's. I have worn several other brands but Keen is where I settled. Why? Primarily due to their well known wide toe box. Not so these "contoured". I brought a pair of these 450's because my feet are old, flat, and tired and the superb cushioning is appealing. I tried them for about 30 mins on my elliptical. Cushioning on bottom is great; the "contouring" for obvious "style" reason was not a good experience. I bought Keen's precisely because of the very comfortable toebox. When I bought these via home delivery, I neglected to notice the "contoured" description and its implications. I not advocating that you do not try these shoes. They are very cushy much like my Sketcher's, BUT the fit is different from the old wide toebox that I love. Maybe if they were available in Wide sizes, there would be a fit for me, but not these. One will probably detect the difference right away if you can do an instore fitting, but just be aware of my mistake or misunderstanding. These Do Not fit like the older un-contoured models. Great shoe but Bad fit for me.
Good fit and comfort on day one. The tred is really good grip.
Very comfortable hiking shoes. Good protection for soles of feet. True to size. Ample lateral space for toes. Spacing of laces makes it a little difficult to cinch them up properly, but I’ll get used to it. Great color, not too gaudy!
This are the most countable shoes I ever had , also good looking shoes
