2600 + Miles Later and still roaming

Very little drag and great off road. It's really easy to pack with lots of space so make sure you're not over packing simply because everything fits! The pockets were great for storing my irons, spare tubes and CO2 containers. This made them easy to find when you had to fix a flat fast. It is easy to attach and remove with a simple pull of a pin. When I had to ride the BART in San Francisco, I just took it off, parked my bike in the designated bike spot and put the trailer between my legs. It can be tricky to back up with the trailer attached to your bike so would just detach it, turn myself around and put it back on. Honestly though, this was never a real issue. I just wanted to point it out to all the back peddlers out there! (Bad joke, my apologies). However, I did have a little trouble keeping my gear dry which maybe partially contributed to not having fenders. I used a space blanket to line the inside and wrap around my gear. I've biked over 2600 miles with my burley. It has been on washboard backroads, gravel ground and smooth pavement. It handles very well on all those surfaces. I even took it off road in the desert of Utah. I will say, if you end up biking in sand for some reason, the trailer creates a crazy drag. In southern Utah our route was covered in drift sand and the trailer made it impossible to ride. However no one rides in sand on purpose unless your insane. Also, other bikers were jealous of my sweet nomad and my companion and I gained the nickname "the girls with the yellow trailer". Seriously this thing rocks and makes touring very simple!

We are thrilled with our

We are thrilled with our new trailer. We replaced our tandem with a new Co Motion and we’re aware we would be unable to use our Bob Trailer with our tandem the way it was built. (Axle) The way the Burley folds up is a huge benefit to us as we travel in a small RV.Our recent trip we were able to pickup propane ice and groceries using the trailer.(not in one trip) We need to purchase the optional bags soon. The trailer is so quiet while towing. Great design and engineering Burley. Best Always, Jarry and Brenda

Multiple Uses for Travoy Trailer

I have 3 Burley Travoy trailers; 2 for Amateur (Ham) Radio, and 1 for grocery shopping. The Travoy is well made with excellent fit and finish. The Travoy can be easily configured for different purposes using available accessories. When not in use, the Travoy stands vertically, which minimizes floor space consumption in the garage.

Bike touring champ.

I needed to try something in addition to the panniers on my e-bike, so I heard about trailers, and specifically the Nomad, through a member of the on-line e-bike group to which I belong. I researched it on-line via videos and reviews. I thought it would work out well for my short to medium range bike touring. I ordered one last spring and have enjoyed it very much since. With two, 100+ mile tours and four 40 mile trips so far, I am pleased with my purchase. I also use the Nomad to pick up 30 pound bags of dog food for my husky mix companion, and for other shopping loads, too. This is an excellent method for hauling and camping. I’m a happy camper.

I can’t say enough good

I can’t say enough good things about the Burley bike trailer. From the moment we took it out for our first ride, it exceeded all expectations. The build quality is outstanding — sturdy, safe, and clearly designed with both kids and parents in mind. It tows incredibly smoothly, even on uneven terrain, and the suspension makes for a very comfortable ride. What I love most is how easy it is to attach and detach from the bike. The quick-fold design also makes it super convenient for storage or travel. The safety features, like the 5-point harness and bright reflectors, give me total peace of mind.

Love It!

I mostly use it to carry things to the local airport to work on my plane or go flying. I tow it behind my recumbent Trike and don't even know it's there unless I see it in the rear view mirror. The cover is great also. The two things that I have needed to change are the flag holder and the interior base. The flag base just sticks into a slot in the fabric. The flag is tall and with any cross wind at all it can bend way over into the opposing bike lane and could also whack pedestrians without you even knowing it. I just use the 1/2 length and that is fine as I have a tall flag on the Trike. The bottom of the carrier is just fabric material and I would worry about heavy items tearing a seam and falling through. I just made a cardboard cutout out of the box it arrived in and inserted it in the bottom to provide more support.

So far so good!

So far so good! Haven’t had it too long but so far it has done what I expected of it. Dragged it up some curbs, thru some dirt and grass, on road, and sidewalks, the Nomad has done all I’ve asked of it. The space is more than I expected, can fit much more than I have put in it so far. Easy to break down for storage and put back together. Barely notice it when in tow, tracks nice and feels planted and stable even when not hauling much.

The Burley Nomad! Approved by The Frod!

16. juni 2017 14:09 I bought my first Nomad back in the early 2000s and over the years it has taken me on numerous tours around Europe. From the Atlantic coast to the Rockies, my Burley Nomad was my trusted companion. It withstood the trials and tribulations of gravel roads, dirt tracks, whatever. The Nomad never flinched! It has been packed and filled to the brim. Weight has never been an issue. The Burley Nomad simply marched on! Last year I decided to upgrade to the most recent version and I wasn't disappointed. Whilst my old friend relaxed in the garage licking her wounds, my new companion and I set out on a new adventure throughout Europe. The famous bike tourer, The Frod, ditched his cycle bags and BOB trailer and got himself a brand new Nomad and came along. He hasn't looked back since! The Burley Nomad folks, it doesn't get better than this! See enclosed bike touring video "Where Frods Dare!" and you'll see what I mean.
