I am currently in a
I am currently in a cross country ride on the southern tier, dragging behind me a Burley Bark Ranger with my best friend in it. 700 miles so far from Fort Lauderdale to Destin, Florida. SUPER HAPPY WITH PERFORMANCE…The Burley Bark Ranger has exceeded all expectations. A little over 2000 more miles to go. I will keep you posted. Thank You Burley and the Burley Team.
This thing is a breeze
This thing is a breeze to use and our dog loves it! Our anxious rescue hates being left alone & the Bark Ranger has made it possible for me to go on longer bike rides again. We eased him into it, using it first as an in-house crate for a week or two, then an outdoor crate, then as a trailer. He **did** throw up about 7 times on our first ride, but with a couple adjustments (mother riding in front instead of behind us, fewer treats thrown into the trailer), he has been fine ever since! We take it down to the local dog park, to restaurants, and on a couple longer rides; my hope is to eventually get back into bikepacking trips and bring him along :D Reference for photos: Tulkas is a 50lb male standard poodle. The XL allows him to comfortably stand while riding and is the same size as his crate.
Cleo loves coming along for
Cleo loves coming along for bike rides in her bark ranger XL. She is part German shepherd and husky so this was the best size for us. I can also vouch for all the accessories. We have the pet bed, treat pouch, and bark ranger bag. I’ve been impressed by the quality of all the burley products and everything is handling repeated use well. The only improvement I would suggest is adding some sort of shock absorption that the more expensive kid trailers have.
Best Burley Cart for Bernie’s Mountain Dogs
Absolutely love this product! We have Bernie’s mountain dogs and the Burley XL does everything we need it to and more. Our dogs way around 100lbs. The Burley makes it feel like they are barely back they. It pulls so smoothly. We are so exited to bring our dogs on our bike rides instead of leaving them at home. Thank you Burley for making such and amazing product that we can share with our family!
Wonderful pup trailer
I truly love this trailer !!! My pup enjoys every ride she takes in it !!! The options are endless use it as a stroller, crate & my favorite putting it behind a bike !!! So glad I made this purchase !!! Wonderful pup trailer .
Stroller for Large Tripawd
We purchased the Bark Ranger XL, the bed that goes with it and the stroller conversion kit. We use it as a stroller for our 78-pound lab who has recently become a tripawd. It is easy to assemble and disassemble. Our dog took to riding in it very quickly and he is quite comfortable. He has no trouble getting in, but he did need some practice on getting out. He is a very long dog and turning around is difficult. Sometimes he just backs out. It is easy to push on paved paths. We have taken it on grass a few times and it did OK there, too. The handle is a little short for taller people, but not too bad. All in all we have been very happy with it.
Good not Great
The idea is excellent. The reality is a little challenging. I bought the ranger XL for my new puppy and old golden. The young one is happy to get in the carrier, the older one, not so much. Setup is a little challenging and takes muscle. It's not a simple flip-up and get moving. Some plastic parts broke on the first use, so not super burley. I am using it only for the winter so had to purchase the ski conversion kit separate. It works well on groomed nordic trails but using it in any backcountry terrain is quite a bit of work. Overall I would say it is good, not great, and the price tag is a little steep for what you get.
Everything about this stroller is
Everything about this stroller is amazing! I could use a cup holder when I’m walking them to get my morning coffee but that is something I can order and strap it onto handle. My dogs love it! I haul 5 dogs in it bike riding most of the time! Then it pushes very nicely for a stroller!!! We have bought 2 very high end strollers for our furry kids and this is 10 times what they are!! Changing over from bike to stroller is very simple. All the panels are convenient! My dogs don’t get hot in there either! The quality is amazing! Rain cover is perfect. We loaded our with everything you could buy almost other than kickstand and I would like that too but we make do for now. It sets up in a matter of a minute or two as well!! Excellent work making this stroller/pet trailer!!!
The Bark Ranger XL
I bought this for my 65 lb. Dutch Shepard. It’s bigger than I imagined. My bike is my only transportation and where ever I go, my dog goes. Because of the 100 lb. Pay load I can now make less trips to the grocery store and to buy my water. Two 3 gallon jugs instead of one. The Burley Tail Wagon wasn’t doing it. The Burley is will made and the materials are tops. There is only one small flaw. The wheels. Should they need truing at some point, the wheels cannot be put on a truing stand at the bike shop. The push button release doesn’t allow for that the way a regular tire wheel can. I found this out because one of the wheels on my trailer was a little wavy. The bike mechanic had to improvise and did the best he could but, he wasn’t able to make it up to spec. So a new tool needs to be invented to correct that. Other than that, I love this rig.
We love our Burley! My
We love our Burley! My 75lbs golden took no time getting in and comfortable. The Burley was easy to assemble and easy to attach to my E-bike. Our rides are mostly on paved trails and they are effortless and enjoyable for both of us. Now I will say for my basset hound… he’ll get in to the Burley… Not quite convinced when it moves so we’re working on that. Thank you Burley for such a great product!
