Wide waistband, fragile fabric
These pants are comfortable, but are cut wide in the waist and the elastic in the fabric itself does not seem durable. The drawstring waistband is not stretchy so tying it only does so much to adjust the waistband. I ended up replacing it with a strip of elastic. The below-knee leg area is textured, and the elastic in this area has begun protruding from the fabric body in little strands. I've only had the pants for about two months, and am surprised by the amount of apparent wear. They are somewhat windproof and quite heavy (physically heavy - I would never take them backpacking). They make for good winter-weather joggers. The fit is loose and leggings can easily be layered underneath. I have also successfully worn shell pants over them, though they are not as tight or lofty as your usual baselayer. They could be used as a midlayer for very cold weather.
