A great upgrade from Apple Watch

I've been an Apple Watch user for 10 years, but decided it was time to transition to something with a better battery and integrated maps for hiking trips and trail runs. I went down the rabbit hole comparing Garmin, Suunto, and Coros watches (Apple Watch Ultra was just too expensive). I came out the other side picking the Coros Pace Pro and am super happy with it. Battery life is obviously way better than the Apple Watch. Garmin watches seemed a bit pricey and overly complicated. The Suunto Race S is very comparable to the Pace Pro, but I like the Coros app, watch face options, and styling better. Ultimately, everyone has different needs but for me this watch really hits the sweet spot of battery, price, features, and styling.

Big Disappointment

It's fine but if you're expecting decent battery life, I would get another watch. Typical battery drain is anywhere between 6-10% daily with all battery draining options (backlight always on, constant HR, etc) turned off. During activity mode isn't too bad with between 1-3% drain per hr. Support has also taken a huge hit. After a month of troubleshooting with Coros support where they initially deemed the daily battery drain unusual and worthy of troubleshooting, they've since decided it's normal and that they bear no responsibility to address the issue. This experience has turned a loyal Coros customer and evangelist into a skeptic that they will continue to do right by the customer.

GREAT WATCH

Love all the tracking specs for this watch! Super light, super basic and to the point! Also love that is has the ability to download maps and uses 5 GPS’s for accuracy! Great watch! If you have tattoos it can block the sensor, so if you have super dark tattoos on your wrist it might not be for you. Also, SUPERRRR long battery life! Love that!

Over the years I have used HR monitors from Garmin, Suunto, and Polar, and I have to say the Coros Pace Pro stands out from this field of pretty decent alternatives. I like pretty much everything about the Pace Pro: the accuracy of both the GPS and the HR, the hardware (I like the dial), and the software (both the one that runs the watch itself and the associated fitness analytics online). I strongly recommend this watch.
