- This hat takes design inspiration from the REI K2 Expedition Cap worn by climbers in the 1970s (though this modern take is made for casual wear, not technical mountaineering)

Disappointed
I was delighted to see that there was a 50th anniversary K2 hat available. I have had mine since 1982. I was so excited I purchased two of the new ones. They are smaller and lighter than the original K2 hat. I am returning one and might keep the other for display purposes as it is too small to wear. First excited, then disappointed. I still wear my 1982 version. It still is a wondeful hat. How about making a real one that I could buy?
Ridiculously small for an adult.
Ridiculously small for an adult. I had previously bought the REI "Insulated Waterproof Hat" (Item: 1191610010), which is a great ball cap style and super warm (5+ stars). I was hoping to buy that again for my son-in-law, but not available. This current model is not an acceptable substitute. 😢
One size only.
I wore this hat 45 years ago and loved it. I wore until if fell apart. So did my father. Comfortable, versatile and warm. But one size fits all? Its not a watch cap. I cannot get it on my head. C'mon REI. You can do better.
