[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the Firecrest jacket, I have worn it every single day since I purchased it. Initially purchased to go under my Stormbird in the colder weather, I have found myself wearing it under all of my coat options, and on the rare warmer days, as a standalone coat.I normally purchase a large in Finisterre, but found the large too snug so had to size up. The shoulders of the coat do hang further than mine by sizing up to XL, but have dropped after wear. Great purchase, now very tempted by the green gilet version for the summer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this after purchasing a finisterre Skybird jacket (combo for Spring skiing). I like the Firecrest jacket, only slight negative is that it is tight in the chest, compared to the Skybird.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great quality, the perfect light insulated jacket. I particularly like the zipped pockets tucked behind the separate hand warmer pockets. This is such a good idea that I wonder why it’s not a feature on more jackets.I’d advise you to size up though - I’ve been wearing Finisterre since 2008 and have bought dozens of garments - I’m always a L save for one jacket where I sized down to a M. I had to size up to an XL in this one which is a perfect fit. For reference I’m 6 ft tall, 40 inch chest, 32 waist and weight 14 stone.

A perfect transitional jacket that’s smart enough to be worn in the evening too. Would definitely recommend as a stand alone piece or layered underneath the Stormbird Jacket. Lightweight, warm and windproof, and has definitely stood up to the odd shower too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seems a great jacket, winter as I write this so yet to test in its intended spring/autumn. Despite being a featherweight jacket, love that it has internal pockets and clever external slip pockets next to the zipped ones. A little boxy for me on the arms as an XXL on Finisterre jackets and XL in shirts and other tops, but needed it to go around the rest of me!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second Firecrest I have purchased - as I was so pleased with mine that I bought one for my son. We are both please with the quality, performance and style - usable for business or hiking. - light, compact and love the large inside picket - and dual compartment front picked - great for helping hands warm in colder days!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has become a core piece of my coastal UK kit.Love it as a jacket for spring/fall days and as a mid layer during colder months. Decent wind block. Sheds brief light rain.Fits close. Layers well under a shell. Packs great. Love the non-glossy finish and subtle orange pocket zips.Winner.
