These are ridiculously stiff! I bought them for beach running since the recent fires have left toxic debris on our beaches. I normally run barefoot or lately with my Hoka speedgoat 6. Bought these for when the storm drains flow to the ocean after rains to keep my feet dry. Both times I ran in them they severely cut into my Achilles and caused pain. Was hoping to break them in but decided it isn’t possible after the second run. Will return. Very disappointed
I got these online and i knew as soon as i tried them on they weren’t right. They are super stiff, i could hardly believe they call that a barefoot shoe. They also ran a little small in length. I ended up forgoing the waterproof feature and got the merrell trail glove instead.
I work a job where I have to be on my feet and walking all day and I absolutely adore these shoes. I no longer have back or leg pain after wearing these shoes. They are a bit snug and fit me like a climbing shoe so maybe size up if that’s not your style. I’ve seen reviewers say they were stiff and that was not my personal experience.
I bought these needing new hiking shoes. I’m a barefoot walker and I’ve struggled with bigger hiking boots so I thought let’s try the barefoot shoes. Unfortunately they are terrible barefoot shoes. My toes hit the top of the shoe often and are very cramped together, which is kind of appalling since the main point of barefoot shoes is a wide toe box for your feet to spread out. I ended up getting HUGE blisters on the sides of my big toes where it smooshed into the second toe…. This is absolutely NOT supposed to be a thing with any shoe but especially a barefoot shoes. I felt like I was hiking in my soccer cleats. (If you played soccer you know what I mean) So BAD! And I’m extremely MAD. My husband paid over $100 for these for my bday and now I have to break it to him that I can’t even wear them. I’m absolutely devastated because I really needed solid good hiking shoes and now I still have non and $100 + wasted. Do Not Buy These!!!!!! (The grips good, but that’s about it)
