I may have a new favorite coat.
This is a good coat - a little brighter than I expected based on the website picture. I was walking in a light rain in NYC and a passerby hollered, “Hey, great raincoat!” (Which it’s not but in a light rain, it kept me bone dry.) Good fit. Nice feel to the fabric.
I think I have a new favorite coat.
Fits great and light weight. Repels light rain. The colors are a little brighter than they appeared to be on the website but I liked that. The fabric has a nice feel.
Innacurate Website Description - NO PIT ZIPS
NO PIT ZIPPERS!!! NO PIT VENTING AT ALL!! Two way zipper is main front zipper. That’s the only zipper on the entire jacket. Only mesh vent is upper back, with NO ability to seal jacket in upper back. Complete waste of a purchase, and product build. I will be returning it. Jacket Runs large, and the hood has a weird fit even when tightened with bungee. I have no clue why the previous reviewers neglected to mention NO PIT ZIPS!!! As a full time nomad who hikes 7 miles 6 days a week, with elevation gains of 500 feet minimum per day, I must say REI you need to do better with checking accuracy of your product descriptions. I don’t spend $120 (ON SALE) on a jacket that doesn’t deliver, especially when the main features I were looking for were PIT ZIPS and fabric/ability to block wind. Desert winds are no joke and it’s the season for them to pickup. It’s a pain to have to drive in to the city now and return the jacket because of your neglect REI.
