Best Hiking plus trail run short
These are my absolute new favorite hiking shorts. I've also done several trail runs in them with no issues. I was a bit surprised with the low ratings as I've fallen in love with these shorts. (Been running for over 25 years in all flavors of apparel). A few things I love....they dry almost immediately. Underwear liner is full, covering my butt. Waist band is super comfy with no chafing - with a backpack or running belt. Easy to hand wash for longer backpack trips.

seams suck for running
I am a long distance runner and I have never gotten burns from any other shorts, but these ones. I went for a 12 Km run today with my new shorts and the seams that are in the inner part of the leg are so rough, I got a horrible friction burn on my inner thighs. I will be returning these ASAP. I am so disappointed

Your favorite running short is shrinking

These are my favorite running shorts, have been for years! They are lightweight, dry fast, and the legs have just enough material for thicker thighs/bums. HOWEVER over this edition has suffered some significant shrinkflation. First the cereal boxes, then the paper towels, now our running shorts. My 2025 Strider Pro 3.5 (pimento red) have a longer inseam and run larger. This version I've ordered in 2026 (wetland blue) is much smaller, same size. The inseam is a solid 0.25" shorter, so you can barely say the inseam is 3.5. Bring back the old cut!

CANNOT FIT PHONE

NOT BIG ENOUGH POCKETS FOR PHONE :( The entire reason I purchased these shorts is so I can carry a phone with me while jogging. These claim to be big enough but they are not by a long shot. I have the iphone 13 for reference. Misleading advertising. They are light and comfortable shorts, but I will be returning since the whole purpose was to be able to carry phone, disappointing.

Great for running and outdoor activity

I just bought it recently and used few times. Its true to its size. I love the waist not tight unlike other running shorts I have. Its thin and almost weightless. The only thing I can think off for improvement is the pocket. Its has very small zippered pocket at the back and none on the sides which I prefer but doesnt bother me. Like the plum color. Lastly, I bought it on sale which gave me an opportunity to try this item. Love my short!

new favorite trail shorts!

I got these in time for our Nevada / California trip and I’m so glad I did! The fit is so flattering and the mix of the material and the fit. They are extremely comfortable! They stayed put through throughout the day and when you wear something that fits good you feel good! Definitely getting more of these!

Liner ruins the shorts for me!

Ugh I'm so sad, I wanted to love these because they're comfy and I love the color, but I'll be returning - the inside liner totally rides up for me and gives me a wedgie. Like others have said, the pocket isn't big enough for a phone either which is annoying.

Runs small

I always wear XS in running shorts no matter what the brand. These are very small. I guess that’s why they were on sale.

don’t wear around campfires

Sooo, my $80 pair of shorts acquired 2 tiny holes due to sparks from sitting around a fire at base camp on a hiking trip. Super bummed. The shorts are super comfy… but ridiculously expensive. Pocket is small and useless. Can only hold ID
