Great for more than bike work
I own this product and it works great for cycle maintenance and more. Great for holding bike at home or on the trail. Also great for "catch all" vice or holder.
Really Solid Product
Had this for a couple weeks now and I'm really impressed - especially with the build quality. I bought it mainly for my garage wall, but the fact that I can use it elsewhere is a huge plus. On the wall mount, it works exactly as expected, and I like how I can pivot the bike against the wall when I'm not using it. I've also clamped it to my backyard fence to clean my bike and even some playground equipment near our local trails. Took me a little trial and error at first to get it positioned right on things other than the wall mount. I ended up reaching out to Altangle and they got back to me almost immediately with a couple of suggestions based on some pictures I sent them. After tweaking the clamp positions, it's been rock solid. I've had a full-size stand in the past but rarely used it unless I was doing a big repair - just felt like a hassle to set up for the frequent stuff. With this, I can quickly clamp it to something, do what I need to do, and be done. All in all, super convenient, well built, and more useful than I expected. Definitely going to get a ton of use out of it!!
Great for working on bike
Awesome tool- easy to use as well as very sturdy-- It is nice that it is small enough to take anywhere.
Compact / convenient
Space is a valuable thing in my townhome. Kids, bikes and gear everywhere... We have a single car garage so I really like how compact this is. Was considering a traditional wall mounted clamp but still wanted something we could bring with us on family trips and weekend outings so this made for a great solution. Very high quality as well.
The Clamp is Impressive
Aside from the size and all the different ways to use it, what really stands out for me is the clamp. I’ve used just about every stand out there, and this one is now my favorite. Most stands use either a quick action type handle or a more traditional threaded handle which you just rotate to open close. I usually prefer simple threaded handle for the consistency, and this one nails it with the added ratcheting feature. Used it on all my bikes now, and the big differences for me: super rigid clamp, smaller width makes it easy to grab droppers or fit between things like saddle bags and Garmin mounts, pivots 90 degrees (good for weird seat post shapes), and comes with a flat mount insert that’s great for D-shaped posts and gravel droppers. Also, little details - hollow cavities in the clamp hold tools while you work, and the fact that it fully comes apart just makes sense. Every high-end clamp should do that. Like any other component, a little grease on the threads from time to time is a good thing. Overall, just a really well thought out design. The versatility is awesome, but honestly, the clamp itself is what impressed me most.
