We live in the Cascade mountains, known for wet days with varied temperatures. The Rafferty kids ski jacket has been my absolute favorite for my kids and we have tried many other brands. It is incredibly durable, keeps my kids dry and warm and has lasted multiple seasons with each kid. We ski several days a week and really put gear through the wringer and the Rafferty ski jacket really holds up to kids.
Coat adorable ! Not as warm as I'd think for skiing in the east but can layer underneath as runs huge ! Bought for my almost 5 year old , total average size grandson and was huge! Body and sleeves ! Says 4-6 but hmmm would maybe fit when he's six. So funny because I think There aging sizes are just a tad small
Loving this jacket for my son. A couple of things to note: I purchased this because the size small hometown jacket was getting too tight on my son (especially with a sweatshirt underneath). He is 7. 5 yrs old and average height and weight. I first purchased the medium in the Rafferty and it was huge on him. Ended up getting the small, which fits great (for now) and is larger than the size small hometown jacket. Unclear if it is big enough to last 2 seasons, but we’ll see… My son loved the yellow color way, and I was worried it was jarringly bright and almost neon. The pictures do not do it justice. In person, the color is more of a mustard shade and I really like it. This is nitpicky, but on the yellow jacket, the main zipper and the pocket zipper are slightly different colors. One is yellow while the other is white. You can’t see this in the picture and it’s a tiny detail, but it seems like an odd design choice given how close the colors are. Lastly, on the hometown jacket we had some issues with the zipper getting stuck on the lining. No issues with the Rafferty. So far, we have only used the jacket for daily school and playing in the snow. Can’t wait to get my son on the slopes with this!
