So far these are my new go-to ski mountaineering and moderate alpine climbing crampons. They are lighter and more packable that comparable models, and the steel toe is aggressive enough to handle steep snow, water ice, and light mixed climbing. Added bonus you can take the middle aluminum section off if you want to lighten it up even further. When I first got them, I was nervous they wouldn’t perform as well as my Petzl Irvis Hybrids. However, after a couple uses snow climbing, a few days on moderate ice, and one day of mixed climbing, I can confidently say I can’t tell a difference besides the fact that these are lighter and pack smaller.

Go to ski mountaineering crampon. They pack down about half the size of other crampons, and do the same thing. I climbed up to M4 WI3+ in these with ski boots and they were completely fine. Also have put them through about 30-40 days in one season and they are still completely functional despite the slimmed down design and lighter weight.
