I have a long commute and I live in the Northeast, meaning it's often 50F when I leave in the morning and 80F when I come home. So I need a packable layer, but I also have preferences: it can't be shiny and it has to actually look alright on me, which is hard because I'm petite. This fits the bill, except calling it "packable" is a bit of a stretch. I'd love to see if Cotopaxi has a video tutorial for this, because I just can't get this jacket fully into the designated chest pocket. That's probably "good enough" for putting in my bag but it'd be nice to be able to zip it closed. One other thing, which is more personal preference. I think this jacket runs big. I usually wear a womens' Medium and I exchanged it for a Small because I felt like I was swimming in the Medium, plus I prefer more form-fitting outwear to begin with. In the Small I could do a t-shirt and a light sweater comfortably, which is all I want anyway. If you prefer to wear heavier layers, then this jacket's probably true-to-size for you if you don't mind the length in the body and the arms.
