Got this for my husband in XL and he is 6 foot 240# with very broad shoulders; looks great, good length and love the blue color. The outer fabric feels similar thickness to the expedition mid-winter jacket but less shiny and slick. His only hesitation was how big it felt, you can wear lots of layers under it…. Significant size variation from the packable expedition down jacket which was too snug in size XL
I'm 6'0, 220 and wear an XL in the Skogsö Padded and Expedition Pack Down Hoodie jackets. This is not marketed as a belay jacket but probably is due to its sizing (I bought a Large), so be it. I'm in the Upper Midwest and wanted a jacket for taking walks and hikes in temperatures -10 to 30 degrees F. It offers freedom of movement and seems to breath well with a heavy or light wool base layer depending on the temp. (hate layering). A chest pocket would have been nice and I just wish I knew what type of Pertex was used on the shell.
