I had a great experience at REI. I went to try a pair of shoes just for fit to think about it, and walked out with my Altra shoes. The young lady in sales was very helpful she introduced me to the concept of wool uppers and inners. I like the antimicrobial feature of wool. Been wearing my shoes regularly with no ill effects. Glad I made this choice. REI's price was competitive with anywhere else online or otherwise.
