More colors?

This bag is super for taking to work. It fits my laptop, a change of clothes and sneakers, and a small lunchbox. I like that the top can be unrolled if I need more space at the last minute. I am 5'3"" and the backpack straps are comfortable for me. The only thing is I wish the back panel was the same color as the rest of the bag. The dark gray back panel is not very stylish. It looks like it is made out of sweatpants. This makes it a little awkward to use the bag as a tote. Also it would be amazing if the osprey logo patch were more discreet! Then I would literally take this bag everywhere with me.

Great for traveling abroad

I got this for my trip backpacking around Latin America. I've always felt like a nerd having to have my big backpack on my back with my smaller pack on my front, and it's more uncomfortable for me. I love being able to carry the bag as a tote when I'm carrying my smaller back, and then revert back to a backpack when I use it as a day bag. With the bag zipped, rolled, and strapped, it feels completely secure and I don't worry about pickpockets. When full it carries my laptop, books, notebooks, snacks, charging wires, etc., comfortably, and I can usually fit a water bottle in it as well with everything else. It's also been good to me on shorter hikes (>5miles, haven't gone on any long hikes). The bag looks better in person than online and I've gotten compliments on it.

The more I use this, the more I like it!

Initially I was drawn to this bag by the vibrant color. But when I had to do some shopping and jumped on my bike, I fell in love with it. It isn't the biggest bag out there but it was big enough to buy a few days groceries. While I was shopping, the big open pocket on the outside was a very handy stash for my helmet. It was very comfortable as I cycled - hardly felt it on my back, loaded up with shopping or not. The top opens up, zips shut if needs be and the strap that goes over the top and hooks into a little loop to keep things together was easily adjustable. It's also a very good commuting backpack. The main pocket will easily fit a 13in laptop in the back sleeve with lots of other pockets for tablets, phones, ebooks, pens, cards, tissues, packable rain coat, water bottle, umbrella. Everything is easily accesiible. Highly recommend!

Great office bag/day bag

I use this bag every day for the office. I can fit a ton of stuff in it: laptop, large planner, notebook in a leather case, large pack of colored pens, snacks, phone, wallet, charger, and other essentials. I love that it doesn't have to be rolled down, allowing me to shove a light jacket or cardigan on top if I need to. I don't miss the water bottle pocket since I mostly find you can't reach the bottle anyway while the pack is on. I usually keep it (32 oz Nalgene) in the front pocket with the tote strap. It feels professional while still being casual enough to accompany me to happy hour. I love it for day trips or road trips to hold my essentials. It would even hold up to short hikes or walks around town. I've commuted by car and bus with this. I've had mine for almost a year, using it nearly every day and it's holding up great. I love this bag!

I love this bag! I

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this bag! I wanted a work bag that could transition from tote to backpack and this fit the brief perfectly. I love that the tote and backpack straps can be tucked away so that they're not getting dragged on the ground when not in use. It's a touch small, but that just means that I can't over stuff it and it's never too heavy. I have managed to fit two laptops, an iPad, a notebook and a pencil case with room to spare though :)

Fantastic backpack. I work in

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic backpack. I work in the Adventure travel industry and have taken this bag on several international trips which involve tons of networking, meetings, and running from place to place. This bag comfortably carried my ipad, a sweater, my giant yeti waterbottle (I also miss the waterbottle pockets on bags but the front pocket where the straps hide worked great), billions of business cards, my 'mess kit' for flying, and snacks, always snacks. I'm really stoked to finally have a bag thats small enough it's comfortable but big enough to carry what I need. Only complaint so far is the straps seem a bit wide. As in, they are sewed wide on the bag so they sit on my outer shoulder if that makes sense. Didnt seem to be an issue and I got used to it but there were points early on when I kept like I needed to 'pull the bag' up on my shoulders, especially when it was full.

I love my Arcane tote-pack.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Arcane tote-pack. It’s attractive, comfortable, ever so spacious, easy to carry, and reasonably priced. The long handles, which can be hidden away, make the bag easy to transport. The tech panel is useful. I really enjoy using this bag. I can suggest some improvements, however. I took off one star for the absence of a water bottle holder and the absence of a sternum or waist strap. Other bags in the Arcane series do feature a water bottle holder, so why is it absent on this bag? When I am carrying a heavy load and bend over, I find that the pack folds forward over my head! A sternum strap or waist strap might correct that. I also find that it is difficult to unhook the shoulder straps from their attachment to the bottom of the bag. Perhaps the attachment loops could be made a bit larger. Somehow I love this bag so much that none of these issues are deal breakers.

Great for a weekend trip

This is great for a weekend trip. Fit my clothes and toiletries for 3 days. Very comfortable wearing it at the airport and around town till I could check in at a hotel. Love how you can switch to the tote handles. The structure components for your back give great support. Canvas like texture that stays clean. Very happy with this!

Love this bag!

Between being a T1D, a library professional, and a student, finding a bag that can hold what I need it to while being comfy and transitional, is nigh unto impossible. My Tropos bookbag and YETI camino tote work for the heavy load days, but I needed something to function along the lines of huge purse, but that wasn't a dinky fashion bookbag or cavernous tote which killed my shoulders and requires an excavation crew to find anything. Thank goodness for this bag! The organization is stellar, the shoulder straps uber comfy, and the tote straps fit my tall frame (that was my only concern)! I can easily find what I need in a medical emergency, or when out and about. I purchased a bag in the Honeybee yellow with a dark teal interior. The interior is a tad darker then I expected, but definitely functional. The fabric does attract fuzzies, but those are easily banished. I'm headed to the ocean this weekend, so we'll see how it stands up against the beach. Love this bag!

Excellent convertible pack. Easily holds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent convertible pack. Easily holds laptop, lunch bag, and sundries for my car-train-walk commute. It’s not the perfect tote, nor is it the perfect backpack, but it’s the best combo of the two I’ve found. I might like to see the tote straps just an inch or two longer, but in general I’m very happy with this bag.
