incredibly tight
I've been a loyal Reima customer for years (snowsuits, shoes, hats, mitts, you name it!), and have purchased another model of their all-season sneakers for my two kids in the past. Loved them! I purchased the Hiipien sneakers a month ago, and they are REALLY difficult to get on. The children (8 and 10) struggle to squeeze their feet in. Once on, they fit fine (length and width are good so I can't say they 'run small' ) but I believe Reima's redesign of the waterproof membrane inside is the cause of this narrow shoe opening. They have started loosening up now, three weeks later, but the kids still struggle. Not two weeks after my son started wearing his, a lace broke. I don't even understand how. Overall disappointed in the purchase, and wouldn't recommend.
A success!
My son is so happy with these shoes. They’re comfortable and he loves that he can wear them for outdoor recess without having to change into boots. Was true to size. Our second successful Reima high top!
Too small
I used the sizing feature volumental and measured my son's foot but unfortunately the recommend size was still too small. It frustrating to wait over a week to get the boots and it to be incorrect.
Great Fall/early Spring shoes
They are great and my girls love them, but they run small. I was worried there was no 2-2.5, so I took the 2.5-3, but they touch the « line » with their big toe. I recommend you size up.
Strange sizing
12/12. 5 is definitely a 12. 5 not a 12 for little kids. I sent it to an exchange for 11. 5 and can only hope it will fit well. Quality looks good, but we could not use it.
My kiddo loves them, sizing chart is off
My kiddo really likes the shoes, their fit. It took us 3 tries to get the sizing right. We measured his feet and it did not correspond well with the chart.
Absolutely not waterproof
I left a review the very first day my 7 y. O. wore them. Completely soaked. 15 steps from the porch to the school bus stop. And the toe area were wet!
