Disappointing Upgrade

I was really excited to try these at first. I’ve been running in the Hyperion Max for years and have always loved them. I’ve used them for multiple Olympic triathlons, half marathons, and marathons without ever having issues—they’ve consistently been great for both training and racing. Unfortunately, the Hyperion Max 3 has been a completely different experience. I’ve tried them multiple times, and each run resulted in significant pain and swelling in my arches. Anything beyond a 5K left my feet sore for days afterward. I ended up going back to the Hyperion Max 2, which continues to work perfectly for me. I really hope you bring that version back.

Running on Clouds!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a recent mom of two, I was looking to get back into jogging/walking and found these shoes. When these arrived, the colors were even prettier than expected! The fit is true to size. There is a lot of cushion and at first I wasn’t sure I liked it, but the more I ran and walked in them, the more I grew to love the soft cloud like cushion that helps propel you forward. I recently wore them on a walk with friends and got so many compliments on how pretty they were! I now love wearing them out and about on errands or the zoo with the kids since they’re so comfortable and stylish. Overall, a great find and my new go to shoe when I’ll be walking a lot or running!

Great running shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hyperion Max 3 running shoe is a great running shoe! It took me awhile to get used to how high the soles are, they boost my height another 1.5-2 inches. I am used to a more flat shoe typically, so it took a bit to be able to walk normal. Once I did get used to the sole thickness and curve I loved them! The curve of the sole ensured you get full use of your movement and momentum when running. I also walked in them some, and it did feel a little strange. They are definitely made for running. I am more of a light runner, but when I did some sprints they were great for that as well! Overall a great shoe once you get used to them and I would consider purchasing again!

Tight but magical

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have narrow feet, usually a 6.5, but these were way too tight. The support around the ankles was very painful. I assumed this was due to the length, which is unusual for me—I normally need to go down to 6. I went up to size 7, and they fit perfectly! I was relieved because they seemed to be such high-performance shoes. I have a high arch, and the plate in the sole is super supportive. I can only comfortably wear thin workout socks with these, and the mesh is very thin, so you see the sock through it - but I plan to use them only for the gym, so it shouldn't be a problem. I would not use these as my main outdoor street/sidewalk running shoes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m already eager for another pair of Brooks shoes! Initially, I was hesitant about the new Hyperion Max 3s because they felt higher and more cushioned than my longtime favorite, the Hyperion Max, which I’ve relied on for years during long runs. However, after just a couple of runs, I was hooked! I’ve logged four runs of over 10 miles in the Hyperion Max 3s, and they’ve quickly become my go-to choice for the Miami Marathon 2026. For comparison, I also tested the Adrenaline GTS and Ghost models, but the Hyperion Max 3 are the chosen ones. No chin splints, no toes discomfort, and the built material around the top of the foot makes gives you stability. I would recommend wearing a good pair of running socks, nothing bulky. Loving them 🧡 #BrooksRunning

Positive update

I like these better than the Hyperion Max 2. The updated version feels softer but still feel very stable in the hindfoot. They may be a little heavier, but they still have a great forward propulsion. I have narrow to medium width feet and have issues with shoes with the voluminous toe boxes. They have a little more medial to lateral toe box room compared to the Max 2, but the toe box height seems shallow. This may be due to the protective toe cap? This may give the impression that they run short for the stated size. We need to see a darker color for this model...how about grey with a bright accent? Not everyone likes black (especially when wearing shorts)!!

Great trainer

I have about 175 on my pair so far, and they seem to be holding up well. I would imagine these lasting 350-400 miles for me. I’ve used them for long runs, tempo runs, and speed work on the track and they’ve been good for everything. They are fairly light even with the thick midsole and the DNA gold gives provides responsiveness when running. I haven’t had any stability trouble with the thick midsole. I do really like the cushioned portion of the upper under the laces as this really helps prevent lace bite. The pull tab on the heel is a nice feature as well. I would buy again and would love to see more colorways in this model.

Good but will definitely be great after ordering size up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved these shoes so much but after reading reviews I ordered my usual shoe size and definitely should have sized up a high size maybe even whole size. They shredded my heels with massive blisters after one use and I had to return them and will be ordering a bigger size. The cushion is awesome and I like the “sock like” fit of the ankle, loved the support, loved the colors but just way too small.

i like these

Will be wearing for my first ever marathon. Training run review: pros: -cute color and quality material that’s breathable and LOOKs fast -energy return is AMAZING every step my legs were encouraged to lengthen stride -gives me good height ~1.5” -roll of the toe very smooth and helps propel my knee forward -lighter than my hoka bondi (-20g/ea) -lighter than my saucony (-23g/ea) cons: -needs more cushion at ball of foot -width fit is too snug runners feet swell when they run -pretty bad for trail runs has no traction with ground or things get caught in that arch slot -uneven on the sides and can cause ankle instability

Performance enhancing features--Cloud like comfort that propels you forward with every stride.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great running shoe for everyday running, short or mildly long. I literally have shaved off 4 minutes of my 5k time with these shoes. They feel great on my feet and the toe box is roomy enough that there is no pain afterwards. The shoes propel you forward, giving you that momentum you need to go faster and has such a bouncy feel to them. Really happy I bought them!!! Second pair of Brooks I have and definitely will not be the last! I am a Brooks die hard fan for life! GREAT shoes all around!
