Bad strap design
This is my 2nd pair of lowdowns, first pair with leather straps. It seems like chaco tried to get too cute and do too much with the straps. The strap is part leather, part nylon and the crease where they come together kind of pinches and rubs the top of my foot. Ive been able to break them in slowly, but i did start ti develop a rub sore on my left foot. I buy the lowdowns because i have plantar fasciaitis and need the arch support, but arch doesn’t seem to fit right on my feet either and i haven't been able to wear them for long periods without some pain. The foot bed and sole are more advanced and have better grip amd traction than my earlier pair, but it doesn’t matter because they just aren't as comfortable. Im glad i got this pair on sale instead of paying full price
