Tested in Extreme Conditions
This is "Always Forward" youtube. These gloves are my 'daily drivers' for extreme winter conditions so they're highly recommended. These gloves are technical in their nature so don't buy them expecting a very warm pair. You'll have to add your liners if your hands get too cold, which is how it should be. Why 4**** then? Just wish Arcteryx improve them. I put these gloves truly to the test, you can watch me pitching my tent in an Arctic Blizzard wearing them. Arcteryx, do you have anybody truly testing gloves for you? I don't think so. The gloves could: 1) Be less waterproof and hence BREATHE better (crucial in winter conditions). Once they get a bit wet from your sweat, it's hard to fully dry them with the stove without breaking them. 2) Have a conventional string to help you put them on (the one they have doesn't do the job well, design over function issue). If you watch the full video in my channel ("Pitching my Tent in an Arctic Blizzard"), you'll see the Areryx logo on the gloves. Hope this helps!
Warm Hands
Perfect weight and warmth while maintaining dexterity for dog walking and cleanup. The cuff length is nice and generous so your wrists are never exposed when moving and reaching. Finger tips stay warm without getting sweaty palms. I followed the hand measurement and size guide and they are a prefect fit.
reccomend these mitts!
Big fan of these mitts! i have been using them for splitboarding and i like them alot. Nice way to stay a bit warmer on the hands for the uphill without wearing something thicker that gets hot and sweaty. Hands stay dry and warm and are reasonably functional when in transition to down mode.
Sweet!
At 2 .2 ounces my large Venta Mitts do a great job at keeping my hands warm down to 29-28 degrees with a moderate wind. The inside is soft and the outside is very durable. They will stay dry in a light rain for hours but in a harder rain, they will wet out after an hour or so. Great Mitts.
