I always wear the Gel kayano. I tried this style and was very disappointed. I have planter fasciitis and wouldn't recommend these sneakers if you have it. My foot hurt after wearing them for 2 days. The worse part of it all, is asics doesn't allow returns once you wear them. I don't live near a store so I couldn't try to take back there either. I will only order the gel kayano from now on. Other sneaker companies allow returns for reasonably wear.
The shoe is well-cushioned and felt comfortable when I first tried it on at the store. I bought a half-size up. When I wore it at home, I found that the shoe pinched and rubbed the outside of my foot, especially at the base of my pinkie toe. The width of the toe box seemed good, but the shape of the shoe made it so that foot was pushed all the way to the outside of the shoe. I’m planning to return it.
The fit seems a little narrower than previous model but length is the same. Wish the heel area had the loop to make it easier to get into the shoe like last one or had the one like is on the new Kayano. With the elastic tongue on the shoe , these changes would help. The ride is great and easier to get forward. Makes you want to run more!
I had the 12s which I loved then got these thinking they’d be the same. Something definitely changed. Do not like at all seems more narrow and longer. outside of foot goes numb and rubs in a weird place. Also like the look of the previous version as well. Much prefer that design. Will be returning.
Asics Gt 2000 14 are a great balance between stability and cushioning. Very light weight. The 12’s were great but the 13’s had too much cushioning and lost the needed stability. The 14’s are a good balance between stability and cushioning.
I love the GT-2000 line. I have been wearing the line for over a decade. It’s a quality, light-weight shoe. The shoe laces come undone for this new model than earlier version, but double knotting them will prevent them from coming undone.
Wanted them to work BUT they ran wide & longer in length than previous yrs. The 13 version came in a narrow unfortunately the store didn't offer that in the new Gt 2000 14 hopefully it will become available. Disappointed.
Awful tight fit. Much more slim than previous versions, and I have a very slim low volume foot. I would not recommend if you liked the previous 2 versions. So disappointed.
These did not fit well or feel good. The toe box is too wide and there is not enough cushion in the footbed. The GT 2000 12 was a much better shoe in my opinion.
It is not as comfortable as earlier styles. It looks way too much like a Hoka. I don’t understand why the GT 2000 style had to change so drastically.
