Awesome vest, but zipper failed after a few years
I bought this vest for a Grand Canyon backpacking trip 7 years ago. I love the vest! Warm but not too hot, super light weight, packable, flexible so it fits nicely (not stiff like some down vests). I've had to repair a few tears on the outer shell, which is expected for a light weight garment like this. My only complaint is the zipper has failed. The lower part of the zipper pulls open with almost no force. This is not repairable and rather annoying, as the garment otherwise has plenty of life left in it. That's why 4 instead of 5 stars.
Best hiking vest.
Best hiking vest to use and layer with. Down vests are just too bulky.
Awesome Layering Piece!
I was on the hunt for a packable, insulating Patagonia vest that I could layer under a leather jacket or softshell hoodie, and spotted this gem at the local REI. I immediately fell in love with Marlow Brown colorway and ran towards the register counter to make this vest mine (despite the fact that someone else had tried it on and transferred their cologne onto the collar)! Been wearing this toasty little vest all day since I purchased this vest, which will most likely become my most worn Winter piece in my wardrobe.
Runs small
Runs small. Normally Patagonia products run large. This one is an exception. Had to return it to go up one size.
Pass on this one.
Meh, I bought it but I hardly wear it. Too tight around the arms and the gut (even after I lost 20 lbs!) and the material has a weird crinkly noise to it that bothers me. Plus the price is insane - I get they do good things as a company but c'mon. I have a lot of vests and this one I rarely pick - found a much better one from some chinese company. Storm Creek. Avid hiker, backpacker, cyclist, walker and military.
A PNW and Travel Wardrobe Essential
My husband has had this vest for several years and felt like it was getting a little worn so I picked up another one for him, this time in the dark blue, the other was a dark grey color. Both are good looking neutrals. Like many of us in the Pacific NW, he wears this down vest for hiking, pickleball, gardening, skiing, sporting events and more.
worst product ever
there is absolutely no insulation in this vest. I own the nano puff jacket and I was expecting the same. I also own a REI down vest that wireless of inferior quality. it contains better insulation. what a waste of my time. hoping to get a good product from Patagonia.
Great vest
Great lightweight and non bulky vest that keeps you warm in colder weather. I wear this over a lightweight fleece or sweatshirt for cool autumn days and under a puffer jacket for cold days when visiting up north.
Sizing is not right
I own an older Nano puff jacket in size Large. It fits perfectly. This new Nano puff vest sizing seems off. The large fit too big (loose) and the medium too tight. Ended up returning.
Great Purchase!
I bought this vest for my husband and he loves it. It keeps him warm but isn’t bulky. He even wears it to golf in. Good quality and looks nice on him!
