- Removable buckle closure nylon belt, with an elastic waistband for comfort and versatility
- Signature Merced pocket on left—a drop-in pocket with hook-and-loop closure behind a zipper-secure mesh pocket for extra storage—and a right side-seam pocket with snap closure
- 2 drop-in back pockets with a mesh lining and hook-and-loop closures

Bad pockets, no zipper
I love my other RR shorts (Backcountry and Billy Goat). These have the belt and elastic waist again, but have lost the front zipper and made the pockets with vertically tailored openings that phones will fall out of. Now I understand why my wife hates women's pockets.
