The construction is solid and supportive, like Zamberlan's tend to be. The fit is low volume and pretty anatomical, so my foot doesn't move around. May be a bit tight if you have a wide foot. The sole uses sticky rubber with some trail tread but also a great toe sole so I can do some light climbing on the rock and even in the gym. Also the rubber toe bump integrates nicely into the sole. Great approach DNA and comfortable as well.
Bought this shoe for hiking and walking as I need a really stiff sole. It is a very stiff shoe and it took me about 2 weeks to break this pair in. Once broken in, they are the most comfortable hiking shoes I've worn. Fit is generous. My Scarpa Crux shoes are size 12, and these fit well at 11 1/2. These shoes are very supportive, noticeably more than the Scarpas. Workmanship is first rate. The tongue tends to slip down on me, but that is easily remedied by running the laces higher through it.
