Next Level Comfort and Storage! - must have

The Pinnacle Pro 12L is hands down the best running vest I’ve ever used! The fit is incredibly secure with the quick-fit adjustment system and sternum cords, keeping it snug and comfortable with zero bounce. The breathable material keeps me cool, even on long runs, and the storage is unbeatable—plenty of room for hydration, gels, keys, phone, and more. The insulated bladder keeps water colder for longer and doesn’t slosh around, which is a huge plus for comfort. Nathan really nailed it with this new design. It is lightweight, durable, and built for performance. Highly recommend! It has gotten me excited about running again.

Perfect for big trail runs!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Im obsessed with this running vest. There are so many pockets, and it is so comfortable! It works for both smaller local runs, but also perfect for those longer trail run adventures. I was very impressed with how much I could comfortably fit for the big trips- the chest pockets fit additional water bottles, and I had space for all my snacks layers and additional electrolytes in the big pocket. At max I had almost 3L of water in there and still had room for all my snacks and layers for big day trips. With the adjusted straps, it stays in place so well, and is easily tightened as your hydration supply shrinks during the day. I took this pack across grade 3 scrambles, sliding down scree, and I barely knew it was there. I was impressed it even had loops for me to fasted my hiking poles. The fabric is light and quick wicking for sweat, and it fits snug without any bounce when running …the pretty purple color is also a bonus 🤣

Great Vest

I love this vest! The color is so cute and it’s comfortable. I got some compliments on the vest :) I loved all the storage and pockets. The bladder held a ton of water for my long run and didn’t need to stop to refill! Huge plus :)

The best Vest Ever

Hydration was the essential key to this and the bladder kept my water colder than any other bladder I’ve tried. The best was light weight and the latches fit perfectly over my chest. The person who created this vest curated it to fit with no issues. There was minimal sloshing and the water piece was perfect for a quick sip while I was running. I also loved how many pockets there are on this vest. Sometimes my leggings do not have pockets for gels or any other objects and this had more than enough pockets and I could find everything quickly. The design of this vest is 10/10.

Best Hydration Vest to Date!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased this hydration vest and couldn't be happier with my decision. As someone who has run multiple marathons, I usually test out new gear before race day. However, I took a chance and wore this vest for the first time during the Los Angeles marathon, and it exceeded all my expectations. The vest is incredibly comfortable, with a snug fit that doesn't chafe or bounce around. It's super light, making it feel like you're not wearing anything extra. Plus, it carries everything you need without feeling bulky. The hydration system is easy to use and kept me well-hydrated throughout the race. Highly recommend this vest to any runner looking for reliable and comfortable gear!

The black and purple one is a Women’s vest

I’ve been looking for a women’s specific vest with ample storage and this one has by far been my favorite. It fits really well (34B and I purchased a small) and the pockets are well thought out. I haven’t tried it with front bottles on the trails yet, but at home they seemed much easier to get in and out of the pockets than other brands. I tried the popular Salomon vest (unisex) and was unimpressed, the fit on the chest wasn’t comfortable and the bottles were impossible to get in and out without both hands and stopping to wrestle them in the pockets. The insulated bladder is a nice touch and I like having 2L capacity for longer unsupported runs. All in all, I’m very happy with this vest!

Returning

Material is exceptionally comfortable. Love the back pocket set up. The rest, awful for me. Hook & loop system not efficient, side pulls to snug down too bungee, the pockets in the front seem like they would be amazing, barely can get my Nathan flask, the hydration how doesn't actually hold the hose. I do carry a lot of real food for nutrition and it seems like the pockets should hold everything, but they don't. I suspect due to way they are layered. And once packed as best I could, big a larger chest female, everything in the front just poked/laid wrong. My Jennifer Howe pack had nearly everything perfect. Please consider blending the best fit of the Howe & back pockets/ trek pole holders of Pinnacle Pro together.

Great Nathan vest!

What I love most about this new upgraded pack is the stretchy front pockets you can stuff full of soft flasks or fuel and extra gear. There's a great zipper pocket in the back that is low enough to reach and stuff and headlamp when you're done or whatever in there! The only thing I don't love about this vest is the new buckle system in the front. I have to stop and buckle it before I can run again...the old system you can run and buckle if you're trying to keep moving between aid stations or if you need to take it off to stuff a jacket in the back or something.

Prefer the last version

I’ve used this vest for several trail races and there are several features from the last version that I miss. First, the three hook and loop closure system to tighten the vest takes way more time to take off/put on than the easy buckle snap system of the last version. It gets quite annoying at aid stations when you’re trying to save some time. Second, I miss the magnetic tube holder that was so incredibly fast and convenient. Now it’s just a small plastic hook that you shove the tube under to hold during running. This gets really tough when the pocket the hook is next to is full, like with a flask. Forget about the loops on the back to hold poles…you have to dislocate your shoulders to try and get your poles in/out without taking the whole pack off. There are plenty of pockets which I like, but hate the bottommost ones as they are weirdly shaped and contents tend to shift toward the back, making it hard to get stuff out. Lastly, the new system to hook the bladder in the back is awful. I miss the quick and easy Velcro loop, even if it did fail every once in a while. Don’t get me wrong, the vest itself is well made and if you’ve never owned the last version, you may love it. For me, I will be going back to the OG.

Almost great

Well-made vest with more good than bad. My previous vest was the VaporAir 3.0 7L with standard 2L bladder. This pack is comparable in that it has a good amount of storage, layered pockets, fits nicely, and seems durable. I have a Size M and I'm a 5'-11" 175lb average guy. My normal use is for 15K-25K trail runs. Use during humid Midwest summer, below freezing winter, and everything between. Things I like: - The pack is very light, breathable, and comfortable material - Layered front pockets can accommodate a lot such as a 500ml flask and gels on one side, then a larger phone/keys/wallet and additional gels, bars, etc. on the other - Back storage easily handles a decent waterproof layer, socks, gloves, toiletries, additional fuel, etc. -- I have not used it for trekking poles - The 1.6L insulated bladder is a nice change from the 2L bladder and seems to be sturdier with seems that will hold up longer. - Cleans and dries very easily - The string-type adjustable cords are different, but work well. Clips/loops can be a challenge sometimes. Things I don't like which could be design or user preference: - The adjustable cords on the side stick out and can be annoying - The bladder loop and closure sometimes come undone, which I never had an issue with others - The clip for the hose on front is not good and it constantly pops out whether you use left or right - The bladder bracket is bulkier and more noticeable on the back when it is less full - Seem to have a harder time fully burping this bladder compared to the 2L non-insulated I'm surprised that the hose clip wasn't designed better. Some of the other quirks may just be user-specific. Overall a decent vest and nice replacement for my previous.
