not impressed
It’s very thin. So if you’re looking for an actual winter coat this is not what I would go for. It’s okay for the transition of fall to winter, but that’s about it. Once it gets colder, I won’t be able to use this coat. It’s also restricting around the knees/thighs so you have to pull the coat up before getting in and out of vehicles etc. not sure why this coat is over 300 dollars.
Classy Warm Puffy Coat
I’ve been wearing this coat during my daily walks outside in 20 degree temperatures. It’s kept me warm while outside for a couple hours at a time without issue. It is a thinner puffy coat, but however it is crafted, it works great to ward off the cold. I love the double zipper that allows me to open up the bottom of the coat to give more leg room when walking for exercise. I found the size to run accurate. I bought my normal size and it fits similarly to the photos shown in the product listing.
This was a gift but
This was a gift but the recipient loves it! Warm and just the right length - the fit overall was great. She is normally a size 10 and the size 10 of this parka was spot on. Details like the cuffs are brill and will be useful come winter time. Not had chance to use it ‘in the wild’ yet but it does not disappoint so far and no doubts that it will perform well. Glad to see that this updated version has taken a serious look at sustainability and made positive changes there.
Runs big
The quality is great but it runs big, I ordered a medium. I wanted something more fitted, the way it looks in the picture for the denim blue color. I'm trying to see if I can return to a store where the have the jacket in blue and in small. The navy blue with the rich copper/gold interior is beautiful.
Rab winter coat
Totally love this, feels like a duvet yet easy to move in. Nice detail of being shaped at the waist so still feel feminine shape. Warm around neck, no draughts, extra bonus of built-in wrist warmers so feel totally insulted from the elements even if I forget my gloves. I'm usually a size 10 /12, and the size 12 fits just perfectly. Lovely contrasting mustard colour with the blue. Feels quite on trend. Would totally recommend.
Lots of features for affordable price
Ordered and tried on several very nice down parkas and this is the winner for me! I live in an area of Montana that sees a fair amount of wind, chilly temps, and not a terrible amount of precip so this fits a lot of my needs. Appreciate the two way zipper, roominess but slimming silhouette, thumb hole cuffs, and soft collar. Looking forward to actually feeling warm this winter!
This is my second coat
This is my second coat as the first was damaged in a car crash! I had no doubts that i wanted to replace it and the service from Rab was excellent. Delivered in less than 2 days from ordering. My only criticism which others have mentioned is the size and fit of the of the hood which i found rather cumbersome otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

Best coat ever - it’s incredibly warm, wind proof and looks good too. At rugby matches in freezing wind i always feel I’m the only one not complaining as I’m wrapped up so warm in my RAB! The added sleeve gloves are great and the hood is wonderful. I will never buy anything else other than RAB. You can not go wrong - the ultimate in design !
Perfect for keeping warm
I have needed a longer jacket for the colder months for a while. The colour selections are great. The length is perfect to give that extra coverage. I went a size up so I could have room for jumpers etc. Even without the extra layers it feels cosy. With the extra warmth from the hood, this will be a much needed item when winter arrives.
Leaking feathers!!!!
A great jacket but leaking feathers from everywhere! Not just from the stitching where Rab have said is “common” for a new jacket. Anything that I wear under the coat is covered! Spent ages picking feathers out of knitted jumpers!!! Lovely and warm though and the fog is great so really disappointed with the feather issue!
