Not A “Great Choice” For A SUP

I just purchased my first iSUP and inflating it with the hand pump takes 13 minutes. I thought there had to be a better way. I went to the REI website and saw this product. In the Questions and Answers section, someone asked if you could use this on a SUP. REIservice responded “Yes, this pump is a great choice”. So I ordered the product. When the product arrived, I tested it on my SUP. After 30 minutes the board was at only 4psi (it needs 15). This is not a “great choice” fora SUP. It is significantly worse than a hand pump.

Great Rechargeable Pump for River Inflatables.

This is the most powerful rechargeable small air pump I have ever used. I was able to pump up two packrafts and a 10 foot inflatable kayak with it in a little more than 10 minutes. It pumps them up almost to maximum pressure - leaving just an easy top-off with a hand pump. Amazing. I still had plenty of battery left because after paddling I used the pump to deflate the two packrafts. Pretty impressive little device. It is on the heavy side compared to others at 1 lb, but the weight is well worth the convenience.

Works perfectly for my pad and pillow

I like my sleeping pad on the firm side so I chose this pump over any of the mini ones. I love that I can set my air pressure, turn it on, and let it get to work. my pad is always exactly at the right firmness every time and when I'm done camping it vacuums down my pad so it is easy to fit into the carrying bag.
