A miracle pump!
I thought this pump sounded too good to be true... Like, what do you MEAN it can inflate an SUP to 13psi in 6 minutes (IT CAN!!!), can do six in a row (I hope I never need to, but it did 2 back to back no issues!), it runs off a battery (WHAT? No hauling and bouncing an inflated board from the parking lot to launch!), can be used as giant power bank (we live in FL, necessary for hurricane season), and it's QUIET (not advertised as such, but it certainly is compared to the emergency air compressor in my car!!)??? I've seen so many reviews that pumps for paddle boards suck, but THIS ONE DELIVERS!!!! It is a total game changer for getting on the water!
Great Performance!
I picked up this pump for my kayak and my buddy's SUP, and I’m happy to say, this pump absolutely delivered. Highly recommend, but make sure to get familiar with the pressure settings and the buttons and charge it up before heading out.
pump didn't work
Bought this evo sup pump on the strong suggestion from an REI sales associate, instead of a K pump ( NRS ). I planned on using it a t a fairly remote cabin on the rogue river in Oregon for my Aire tributary tater inflatable kayak and to also use on several other friends kayaks and sups. It wouldn't work. The compressor, which is what brings it up to your chosen PSI would not kick in. There are three settings to choose from, SUP, Kite and Matt. The instructions say to use the Matt setting for inflating a kayak, didn't work. You can buy this ame pump from Amazon for $119.00, but doesn't have the built in battery. That version of the pump is intended to be plugged into your auto, to run off the battery. So I tried that and set it on the sup setting. It did pump up a couple of boats, but then stopped working again. Very frustrating. There is no customer service number to call for help! Also, should mention that the valve intended for kayaks would not plug in and lock, because the rubber washer was to thick. I was able to switch it with the a thinner washer on one of the other valves, then it would lock in. The manufacturer doesn't know what they are doing and should test these things out and so should REI! Lastly, under trouble shooting in their little manual, it says to check to see if the pump has water? What? When river rafting, things are going to get wet unless it is kept in a dry bag. Maybe I got a Friday manufactured pump. But for $189.00 dollars, I expected a pump that would work. I returned it to the store.
