Super good quick draws
Mammut rarely misses, and once again, this is a great value. I ended up losing one at some point, so I bought another set of the pinks. Thats how much I liked them, also pink is a stellar color. First, the gate is at least for me is very pleasant to clip and has not changed in that regard. I have put probably 150 climbing days on them so far, along with the same Mammut rope that I bought alongside the draws. You can see my review on that in the 9.5 crag classic rope listing. They have seen a mix of easy multi-pitch days in Las Vegas, Colorado, and even Turkye and heavy projecting on hard routes. Its seen my 145 lbs take a few 30-40 foot whips with lots of roping up. The dog bone is really easy to grab, and the length is perfect. I’m still not sure why people get anything shorter. If someone can enlighten me as to why, I would love to know. As for wear, they still have another 150+ days left in them. As for a negative, and it’s a small gripe, it tends to leave a lot of aluminum oxide on the rope, making it turn almost black, requiring a wash after every trip. This is especially noticeable on the orange rope. So maybe they could improve this by adding steel bits on the inside of the draw like some other manufacturers do. I feel that would make them even more workhorse-like than they already are. They worked phenomenally with the standard Metolius stick clip for both putting on and taking off. Other than that, super solid quick draws.
Solid quickdraw. Workhorse is an apt name.
To start with, these quickdraws are hefty. I wouldn't call them heavy, but they definitely aren't lightweight. In my case, that's exactly what I was looking for. I want to be able to use these often without having to worry about them wearing out and the give me the impression that they'll last a long time. If you want something lightweight for alpine excursions, check out Mammut's wiregate options. The gates are stiff enough that I am not worried about them coming open accidentally. My favorite feature is that there is red fabric embedded in the dog-bone, which if you manage to wear the fabric down far enough to reveal that red fabric you'll know its time to replace the dog-bone.
Perfect all rounders
Perfect draws if youre gonna buy 1 type. They strike a perfect middle ground of sturdiness and performance while feeling top notch in design and quality. The dog bone is stiff and grips the rope biner well without being over-the-top. The gate spring tension is stiff and snappy without being hard to clip. There are lighter draws out there like the mammut sender draws, but for one to rule them all, these are great, and I've never found the extra couple hundred grams on a long pitch to be any trouble. If I were worried about that, I'd ditch the fast food stop on the way home after the climb.
Great quick draw
Great QuickDraw, the dogbone is think enough if you need to yank up on a draw during a projecting session and the carabiners are a good size when you’re pumped and need to clip a draw. Especially great for the price! I’ll be buying more when I need new QuickDraws and may need to get the longer version as well. The longer ones are better for use with a stick clip especially if you are pulling draws off the wall with the stick.
Great for sport routes
These were the second set of quickdraws I purchased. I have a set of CAMP wire gates as well. Overall I really like this product. They are fairly light and perform well. The description says the keylock is supposed to help keep the rope from getting snagged while unclipping, but I and several others had the rope get caught while unclipping on the descent while leaving the quickdraw attached to the crag.
Great budget friendly
Got these on a deal. The gates are definitely harder to clip compared to a wire-gated draw, but not terribly difficult. There's a plastic piece that keeps the lower carabiner straight, which is a great feature. I use these mostly for outdoor sport climbing and they work great for that. I've only used a handful of times for local sport climbing trips and they worked great for that!
Sport Climbing Go-To
Great gate action, great design for clipping, and comfotable dogbone. Weight is 100g per draw, and weight-to-break load is great as well. Don't have any issues with this product as they designed a simple, yet effective quickdraw. (Not that it matters but the look of the product is one of the better ones in the market imo).
Favorite Quickdraws
I love everything about these for the gym and short outdoor crags, and crux’s. I like the thick dog one that’s easy to grab if needed, and the carabiners included are easy to manipulate when getting a forearm pump and tired hands. I use two together often for a quick top rope anchor and they work great for it.
My favorite sport draws
These guys feel lighter and smoother than a lot of similar draws I've used. The dog bone feels a little stiffer and more ergonomical than others as well. After a few months of use the gates did get a little squeaky and less smooth, but a little bike oil fixed that real quick.
Amazing Draws!
I have been using these for a while now and I just love the design! They are durable and the gate action on both ends is great. I like having the solid gates even though they might weigh a bit more. The fact that they are keylocking is also really nice.
