For boots: Add one half size to your street shoe size. You should be able to slip one finger behind your heel when you are standing up with the boot unlaced and your toes touching the front. If the boot is too short, your toes will get smashed walking downhill. Too long and your heel will slide up and down and give you blisters.

I have narrow feet and have the hardest time shopping for shoes, let alone gear/technical shoes. The only rock climbing shoes that have truly fit my narrow feet at the Sportiva Mythos, so decided to give these running/hiking shoes a try on in the store because of my success with Sportivas in the past. I couldn’t be more thrilled. They fit my narrow foot like a glove, have great arch support, and are perfect hiking shoes. I took my regular size. Buy these shoes if you have narrow feet!
Now I did buy these shoes only three or four days before departing on a long backpacking trip, so perhaps they were just broken in poorly. But after ~30 miles of hiking, not only were the shoes in pretty bad shape themselves, but my feet and ankles were in so much pain I was limping into camp at about .5 mph on day 3. You may think this was just because I wasn’t prepared for the trip physically, and that’s what I assumed at first too. But even after my feet had recovered, whenever I went on even a short hike in these shoes my soles would start to bother me after just a mile or two. Even my everyday tennies are far better in terms of hiking comfort.
Runs at least a full size smaller and more narrow. I like La Sportiva but I am likely to stop buying this brand due to the size differential and the subsequent returns. If I was buying in store, it would not be a problem, but for online shopping, it's too much of a hassle to deal with regularly. It's also inconsistent among the styles, so you can't always just order 1 size larger as a rule.
Amazing!! These were perfect for a couple of hikes in Joshua Tree. I also wore them throughout the day and had no issues. Reading other reviews, I did size up about a size and a half. I have an average width, so if you have a narrow foot, a size up might be all you need. All in all, I love these—the style and function 10/10!
I went to get fit in store at REI and learned I am not a terrible runner with bad form -- my shoes were just way too wide. The guy in store recommended La Sportiva as they run more narrow than others (standard La Sportiva is a B whereas I'm an A width and normal is a C+). They fit really well and I can feel the arch support. I love to wear these on your average, not too intense hike. These have become my summer go to hiking shoes in lieu of my Danner hiking boots that make my feet too hot. These are breathable and feel great, even after testing them on several hikes/jogs. I got these which were the prior season shoes on sale and am happy with my purchase.
I love these trail runners! This is my second pair since my old pair are starting to wear out after 3 years of heavy use. I use them instead of hiking boots in the warmer months. The grip is great and they fit my narrow feet very well when I use the marathon loop to avoid heel lift. I thought the short tongue might be an issue, but since I always wear taller socks hiking, it really doesn’t seem to impact me much
I use these for everything.. as my trail runners, hiking shoes, and also as my approach shoes. They do run small though, so sizing up is key. For reference, I’m a size 36.5 in katanas, but a size 38 in bushidos.
Great for those with narrow feet, which I have. Love that they come in solid black as I am not a fan of the multiple bright colors most trail runners come in. Breathable and light weight, great for trail hiking.
I haven't gotten a single blister with these despite using them for long hiking trips in leu of hiking boots, which are too heavy for my liking. The treads hold up well and the fabric is sturdier than shoes I have used in the past. All in all, I love these shoes! I can break into a run at any time during my hiking with no issue, and my footing has never felt more stable.
Ordered in colour TEA/CHERRY TOMATO, friend who owns few pairs of the Bushido styles recommended to get a half-size up and they ended up fitting perfectly! I would recommend sizing up if you have wide feet for a snug fit although it is preference. I would suggest trying on the shoe in person first if possible. The colour wave is adorable and perfect for those who like a feminine touch to their outdoor apparel.
