Poor quality control
No, I do not recommend this product
The first pair I purchased had a sewing defect, I could barely fit my right foot in the shoe. The left side material of the shoe was cut short. I purchased a second pair thinking this was a fluke. These had a different defect, the toe rand was made shorter than the other shoe and was pushing down on my first two toes. I would not have lasted quarter mile walking in these. I returned both to REI wasting my time and gas driving to the store. I am so disappointed of the quality control of this venerable Italian company.

Sizing Seems Small

Just arrived and they are way short for a 46 ie. toes touching the front. I've worn many shoes in a 46 or US 12/12.5 and have never worn a size 47 in any shoe, ever. I returned them and ordered a 47 because they look like solid light weight boots. Hopfully they work out, we'll see. I miss the days when La Sportiva and Scarpa were made in Italy but alas!

Really good approach shoe. The mid height is very convenient for keeping sand and dirt out on tough descents. Plus a little extra ankle support is nice. They do fit a little small. I always were 11 and will be returning mine for 11.5s. Size up 1/2 unless you want a super tight technical fit.
