Great flask, with one minor flaw.
This flask is gorgeous! The dark red wine color is deep, like blood almost. It’s a smooth finish instead of the textured hammer tone green, but it works well. The wide mouth is appreciated when pouring whiskey straight from the bottle. There’s no need for a funnel, only a steady hand. My only qualm is that the lid is quite smooth, and doesn’t grip all that well when it’s closed very tightly- and who would want to close it loosely and risk spilling out that delicious booze? Other than that, it’s a good size, fits well in the hand, slips easily into a cost pocket. Just give me a call when you put some larger scallops in the lid, Stanley!
Flask is great, personalization not to much.
The flask is great. I tried the personalization since it was on promo, but the picture size looked bigger when I was reviewing. It doesn't give you the option to ask for the orientation so when I received the item the picture was very tiny and you can barely tell what it is. When you are reviewing a picture they don't show you what it will look like on the item so I thought someone would review and either ask or make sure it was appropriately sized. Kind of disappointing, but the flask will be great for camping.
A few issues key it from 5 stars
I like the shape and the old school look. It fits in a lot of pockets better than a traditional wider flask. But there are two reasons it doesn't get 5 stars. 1) the piece holding he cap to the flask is plastic, not metal. It's brand new and already feels flimsy. It's going to break sooner rather than later. And 2) the "wide mouth" is more aspirational than actual. Is is wider than the other flask? Technically yes. Can you fill it without a funnel? Well you can try but 9 times out of 10 you're still going to spill a good bit.
Simply wonderful
I have a few other 'vanity' flasks as a part of gift sets. So I knew I needed a proper flask. Now this is not the classic hip flask this is tall. The Nightfall is a wonderful dark blue. I love it and it is very easy to fill from a bottle. I am even going to be making cocktails in it. (8oz is just the perfect size) The only one thing is it is dark in there and so I use a small LED light to check on how close it is getting to the top.
Love this flask but wish it didn’t retain flavour
I’ve had this flask for almost 3 years. It’s been fairly reliable however it’s started to retain the flavour of every past alcohol I put in…. I didn’t notice until I put Fernet in 🫠 did some research and learned that stainless steel is porous and that’s why. However I haven’t had this issue with my giant hot beverage Stanley’s. Wish they made a titanium flask though! Hint hint haha

Works well. Checked it in our bags on our most recent trip. I put it in a plastic bag just in case but it did not leak. Is not too heavy and did a great job holding the Bourbon. I didn't read the instructions on how to clean but I just ran hot water through it and then left it open to dry and it seems to be ok.

I bought this for my upcoming camping trip with old friends. Awesome quality, no leaks, and it has that undeniable, old school "coolness" factor to it. It's the perfect item for when you reminisce about old memories, sitting with your best friends around the fire place; a reliable partner for your adventures.
Great product until the gasket in the cap is lost!
Perfect flask until it leaks in your pack. Outstanding construction and design! The "can't lose the top" makes it perfect for having a nip in the ski lift. Too bad the silicone gasket/washer/o-ring came out and was lost...hope no one swallowed it. No replacement parts at REI or on the website.

I love this.. Im a little disappointed that they come in so gender specific colours thought. i am sure all of the ladies out there wouldn’t mind some cute colours to choose from .. Hint hint.. Pink would be nice, or at least what they offer in the quenchers. Girls like to have fun also...
My husband doesn’t love Yeti’s because they don’t seal and are bulky. He puts one cup in his pocket and one in his lunch pail. He prefers the slim mug with locking and sealing lid so Stanley was the obvious choice. Purchased as Christmas gift and is so far living up to its attributes
