Comfortable soft carrier
I originally hoped to use this carrier for my 18 month old, but she refused. However, it ended up working really well for my 3 year old (~30 lbs)! I have used it in both urban setting (walks around our neighborhood) and on short hikes, including with elevation gain. I liked how comfortable it was to wear and how well the weight seemed to be distributed. I found it more comfortable than other, similar, soft child carriers. It may get easier with more use, but think it would be difficult to get your child on your back by yourself. Overall very comfortable and would recommend!
needed this 2 years ago!
great deal and multiple positions to ensure that you're comfortable with either the happy baby or fussy one.
Sturdy and comfortable
This carrier was sturdy and comfortable for both my son and I. My son was towards the heavier end of the weight limit and he still sat comfortably in the seat pocket. The belt also took a lot of his hanging weight off of my back. The carrier was light and easy to pack for our trip.
Rugged Carrier For Little Adventurer
I have used this carrier on my little one from 2 months thru 6 months. It is my go to and my infants go to for naptime on the go. It sets itself apart due to its rugged construction and outdoors worthy materials. The feature set is fairly standard but with the Osprey brand high quality. The pocket is a nice touch for dog walks etc since it’s sometimes tough to access the usual spots with a baby on your chest. The sun shield has been great for naps outside and is lightweight so I don’t have any safety concerns. The double back waist belt took some getting used to—I would still prefer a buckle. My only complaint is that the fabric can be hot at times and isn’t the most breathable setup. It also felt rigid at first but that has subsided as the carrier broke in and child got a little bigger. I have no qualms recommending this lineup to a new parent adventurer.
Very disappointed
Very disappointed in this product. We purchased for our trip to Iceland and within days the clip on the back partially broke. Since it did not completely break, we were able to use the carrier the rest of the trip but found it uncomfortable on the shoulders and lower back. The proportions fit my husband who has a longer torso better than my own shorter torso. Sadly, can not recommend
Will be great for our intended use. Osprey needs to put weight/age info on the product description though!
Felt like it was impossible to find the weight recommendations for each carrying position, but then it's right on the box when you get it! So, for anyone wondering. . . . . . . . Face in Front Carry: 0-5 months, 7-10lbs. Face Out Front Carry: 5-16 months, 15-25lbs. Back Carry: 12-36 months, 20-33lbs. Pack was purchased for a week long family trip/airport easiness with an 18 month old (ditched the stroller). It's a bit of a struggle getting your kiddo in and out of the backpack position by yourself, but I don't have any experience with any carriers where that's a simple task, so it's a pass. Belt for strapping in is a little funky to 'thread' since it's super thick. Love that it's thick for support, but could maybe use some tweaks for on/off ease. Definitely has the Osprey quality I love to see and looking forward to using it for light hiking/walks as well before the kiddo grows out of it.
Excellent Carrier
I bought this as a gift for some friends and they were extremely happy with it. They had tried other carriers but this is really comfortable and gives great leg support! They are really happy with it
Try in a store before you buy
This product cuts the circulation off in child’s legs when they are in the carrier. Be careful before you buy or try in a store. Child is correct size but the design needs more adjustments.
