Consider Sizing Up; Love the Fabric
These felt incredibly soft and I like that they’re organic, but they were too small by 2 sizes (potentially 1). The size chart says the xs will fit waist 30, so I thought XXS would fit a size 28, but they did not. The design is similar to a ton of other shorts on the market right now. I wish it was a little more inventive or interesting. That being said they are doing it with organic cotton vs synthetics and also probably better than the rest (I have a couple pairs of similar shorts with the waist belt). I would give them a try but also order a size or two up to try.
Watch sizing on unisex items, otherwise these shorts are great
This is a cute, natural fiber pair of shorts.I tend to try to avoid fabrics mainly made from plastics. The only thing I would say is I did not understand that unisex items used a slightly different size recommendation. So I ordered too large to begin with just automatically hitting small, then when they came, the attached tag explained the different sizing for unisex items. With unisex items, women need to move down a size. The extra small is much more my size and I will enjoy them. Return was so much easier than I expected and free. Amazing.
I REALLY don’t like these
So I bought these, put them on, and immediately knew I’d never be able to wear them again. The amount of fabric is a joke, the butt feels like it’s made to be a parachute or something. Then there’s the waistline, I wear medium and this thing was ridiculous. Without any tightening on the waistline, the attached belt was almost as long as the shorts (which felt way too long and wide due to the ridiculous amount of fabric). Shame, waste of money /: PS. I normally love all my prana clothes so this was a blind side for me.
Mojave Short is a Terrible Fit
One of the worst fitting shorts I have ever purchased from anywhere! If I had not already washed them, they’d be returned. They bag in the front and are completely unflattering. No wonder the model in advertisements is leaning backwards, to counteract the fabric bulge when standing straight. These shorts are uncomfortable and ugly. I am mystified that they made it through development stage or whatever preproduction is called. This pair of shorts makes me doubt any future Prana purchase.
Maybe more male cut than female cut on these 'unisex' shorts
Stylish - but the cut isn't great for me (female), it takes some effort to get up over my hips and then the waist kind of sits a little tight for me (not too bad, but noticeably). The next size up and the legs would be swimming on me. My husband and me are the same size and they fit great on him - I think it's the lack of what my mom would call 'birthing hips' lol - I'm keeping them all the same, they have GREAT pockets and I'm going to see if I can break them in a bit for myself.
Surprisingly cute, and very comfy!
I was pleasantly surprised by these shorts! I was afraid they would look dumpy and unfashionable, but they are surprisingly cute on. They are very flattering, and will be very comfortable for various activities and adventures this summer! I like how the fabric is a bit thicker and more sturdy feeling. I would confidently scoot about on rocks and what not without fear of anything ripping. Women should size down, I usually wear a large in Prana items, and the mediums fit perfectly!
Great looking casual shorts that aren't "too" short!
Great pair of sturdy shorts, love the khaki color, goes with everything! My only problem is the fact that when ordering, the fact that these are UNISEX sized is not at all clear. I ordered what I thought was a women's M, and in fact got a mens M. Too big, so unfortunately, I have to go through the hassle of returning and reordering! Update: received a S as a replacement and sadly, they are way too small!
Great yardwork shorts
I often buy men’s shorts, I like that they are longer for working out. These shorts are unisex and are a bit balloony. But I bought them for working in the yard and they are perfect for that. Plenty of room in the pocket for my phone and no binding when I squat to weed or bend to move, haul, whatever. I even like the sound they make. I bought the pant version as well for forest hiking on cool mornings.
Killer shorts
These are great and allow for all the flexibility you'll need. Only drawback is the cloth belt will loosen a bit and require adjustment throughout the day. I wouldn't carry a bunch of stuff in your pockets, as this would make that issues worse. Regardless, though, I've been wearing them almost every day and they are the most comfortable shorts I own by far.
Poor choice for a built in belt
Similar to other Prana shorts with just an elastic waist band, these too will not let you down in having shorts that also fall down with anything whatsoever in the pockets to weigh them down. The belt design is a great idea, but also does not functionally work since the tri-glide doesn’t actually lock the belt down no matter how tight you can get it.
