prAna  Furrow 8" Shorts - Men's

So, I just got married and went for an ocean swim in these shorts. On all counts of aesthetics, photogenics, mobility, and durability, they are winners.

The only positive aspects of these shorts are their style and fit. Unfortunately, the color representation is quite misleading; in reality, the shorts have a faded wash that differs significantly from the images shown. Additionally, the quality of the materials falls short, especially considering the price point of these shorts. While the brand attempts to justify this through terms like "sustainability, etc..." it appears that they have opted for lower-quality materials in pursuit of profit. As a long time costumer to Prana, it pains me to leave such negative reviews.

I adore these shorts and this material: airy and cool in summer, reasonably quick drying and durable, packs compact for travel including bike touring, works great for hiking or riding and also looks good with a button shirt at a nice restaurant later that evening. Vastly prefer these to Prana's Zion line. It's a pity to see only a couple colors in late 2025, but you can set up auction site searches for your size - they pop up fairly regularly, including new ones. I really like the full length pants in the same fabric too for warm weather.

I hit a moment of panic when my favorite pair of knock-around shorts tore. I looked through Prana and decided to buy three different styles of short to replace them.These are by far my favorite. They have a little bit looser of a fit - while not being at all baggy. The fabric is the perfect weight - light, breathable, and flexible.And they look good on.They are the first pair of shorts I reach for when I get home from work. And I like them so much that I bought a second pair in a different color.

I originally ordered one pair of these in Acacia Brown to try out. They exceeded all expectations.They look great, they're incredibly comfortable, and they're just the right length (for me). During the spring and summer you can wear these out anywhere, but I also find myself lounging around in them as well. They're comfortable enough to be an alternative gym short.I ended up buying two more pairs of these shorts. They're my favorite short, hands down. Highly recommend.

These shorts exceeded my expectations. The fabric, in particular, is something magical: It is lightweight and breathable, like linen, but has yet to show any wrinkles. There is a subtle texture to it, as well, that gives these shorts a great classy-casual look.I would note that the material doesn't have a ton of stretch to it, and so I wouldn't recommend these shorts for any activities that require a lot of flexibility. For everyday wear, though, these are great!

This short has become his measurement of comparison for others. I always find them in the wash, which shows how often he wears them. The versatility of the fabric is appealing. We live on the coast so he likes that he can wear them as shorts and as swim trunks. They dry fast and have shown no signs of discoloration or damage from the sun and salt water. Lightweight for the humidity we've had lately, too. Great all around short!

These are my most favorite shorts on the planet. Stretchy when they need to be, especially for athletic legs, and supremely comfortable. They are frequently sold-out, so as soon as I saw them in stock again, I purchased 4 pairs. I haven't found another pair of shorts that fit so well and combine comfort with convenience. The only thing I wish they had were a back zipper pocket like I believe the Rothman series of shorts did.

I first bought a pair of these shorts a few years back and fell in love with them for their comfort and function. I have since purchased two pairs of the pants for meditation, yoga, and just kicking around as well. I have always worn a waist size 32 in these pants, and all Prana pants for that matter, with complete comfort and a relaxed fit. However, the new pair of size 32 Furrow shorts that I recently purchased has a very different fit. The waste is tighter fit than all other size 32 pants I own from Prana. I ordered the 8 inch inseam this time, versus the 11 inch, and find it to fit rather tight around my thighs (also something I've not experienced from Prana pants and shorts before). A sitting meditation position in these shorts is less comfortable. I would certainly order the 11 inch in the future for my thighs, but still wonder about the waist fit.
