I bought one of these that was used lightly and returned, so I got a great deal. I have not bought a new mountain bike for years, this is light years above my old Trek bike. It's not light with the battery, but it rides super nice. I rode this weekend with my son, had a great time, and it was really nice to have the battery assist for the hill climbs. Rode recently on the lift served terrain on Mt Hood, the bike felt super secure & was really comfortable. I'm super happy with my purchase.
I've had this bike for about 6 months and have gotten in a lot of trail rides. The bike handles well and has excellent braking. The stock saddle was poor and needed replacement. But saddles are a personal thing so that's okay. The rear derailleur (SRAM SX) is SRAM's bottom of the line. REI bike tech recommended I upgrade when problems started showing up. It's frustrating to pay over $3k and have to think about upgrading because Cannonade went cheap! Also, this bike is too heavy at 57 pounds.
