Stio  Vallis 4" Shorts - Women's

Wore these for an 18-mile hike in BC. Great fit, durable and comfy

I love these shorts. They are super comfortable. I like the the drawstring is slim doesn't stick out too far like some shorts which give a bulge look, especially if you already have a tummy. My only complaint is the sizing seems bigger than other Stio shorts. I had to return for a smaller size than I usually wear in Stio shorts. The smaller size is too big too and I wish I had sized down 2 sizes.

I was so excited to pull these on the first sunny day after a long stretch of gloomy PNW weather! The fabric feels really smooth and light, and the waistband has a super smooth feel, too. The stretch makes these easy to move around in - sit, squat, bend, all of it. I ordered my usual size with Stio and the fit was great. Nice deep hand pockets even fit my phone, which was a pleasant surprise.

I take a size M, or 8-10, depending on the manufacturer. This size 8 did not go any farther up than my thighs. I find it odd that one comment says these shorts tend to run large. I am wondering whether the size was marked incorrectly. I am short-waisted and petite. I am returning these.

I like some aspects of these shorts, such as the material and the waist band. However, I wish that the rise was a bit less and the inseam was one inch longer. They tend to ride up on my waist and then ride up in between my thighs.

Overall a great short, my only complaint is the pockets stock out. Typically this is as a result of them being too small but they fit my waist and hips just fine, I worry sizing up would be too big.

I have been looking for shorts that don’t ride up when walking and finally found them! Love the soft and stretchy material and comfy waistband! Will be buying another pair!

These are going to be my go-to summer shorts. I love the fit and they are so comfortable but you can dress them up. And they are the perfect length. 10/10 recommend

Quite large in the thigh area, but great fabric so I kept them. I find Stio tends to run large as a brand - and is generally proportioned for taller women.
